Basically making Vampires the main characters in the public.
No longer hidden, but a fact of life. “Yeah, there are vampires. They’re just…around.” No big deal.
By making vampires the main characters of all the movies and tv shows, people would gradually get used to the idea of vampires being both a fact of life, and the people that matter.
don’t forget the hunters and im not talking about the SI or Society of leopold, hunters who were imbued with supernatural means to combat other beings (not true faith) imbued by messengers of god. depending on what is their creed (zeal, vision, mercy) they can use edge to fight other beings
Werewolves aren’t the ones eating people though. They might rage about Gaia or whatever but that would just get them fans from the Greenpeace crowd.
Seriously, Julian was inspired by the Rodney King beating and reality TV. There were riots after that happened, btw. And not to get too political, the reason why most Americans were inured to the video is because the white majority thinks it won’t happen to them. Vampires aren’t racist, they’ll drink anyone’s blood. There’s no privilege to exploit. Julian’s hoping people will see them as cool kids with powers instead of, well, a new type of predator preying on fear addled monkeys that aren’t used to being prey. I just don’t see it working out the way he hopes. I personally think the SI would be swarmed with recruits, regular PDs would be getting training on how to profile goths, it would just be a horror show.
For me I think it would work. Since Julian has a hundred years to enact his plan. Hopefully his giant computer got its computations and predictions right. So many things can happen in 2100, especially with how our world and society is today. Maybe law enforcement gets defunded, who knows? I sided with Julian because he is the one with the only solid plan, unlike the Camarilla. Though I haven’t finished my Camarilla playthrough yet so I must be wrong.
as i said before julian never gave much thought about the backlash of exposing the masquerade, the most highest risk exposing supernatural are an all out wars all supernatural beings, mortals vs cainites all supernatural follows one rule never expose supernatural (Masquerade,Veil,Paradox) to mortals. by breaking that rule not only vampires as seen as no.1 enemy to others, julian will be seen as the most despised vampire so much (except sect Sabbat) camarilla will probably make a brief allliance with the anarch so they can issued a blood hunt in case jullian tries to run away
I think he thought about that, that’s why he has the computer that let’s him calculate all the factors that will come into play if he enacts his plan. I think that’s also the reason why he sent your character to do a specific task at the end of the game, because he wants to test the waters and gather some data that will help him see more clearly. but then again, even Kyle Marquis said that he isn’t sure that Julian’s plan would work at all.
julian only rely on technology to calucate odds if it works he didn’t count past experience
with mortal during dark ages counters as a factor it wouldn’t work
he was too impatient and reckless
never thought the consequences of angering other supernatural races
high risk of banu haqim losing their seat in camarilla because of him
will probably be ended up on the red list or got killed by other child of haqim
That I consider risks, but that doesnt necessarily mean his plan wouldn’t work. Kindred dealt with risks for a very long time and some end up on the top. I wouldn’t just downplay the effectiveness of technology, technology has bested us and Julian knows well how to use it.
I do like that Julian is at least thinking about the problem of keeping secrets as the surveillance state grows. In the game time the Camarilla are already getting caught moving money and identities around, and “suicide” someone who is onto them. It’s only going to get more difficult and they aren’t working on solving the problem.
Even though his vampire TV idea is harebrained IMO, he’s at least aware of the coming storm unlike the old fangs and capes in their towers.
Imagine a Kardashians: Vampire edition lol. That would be hilarious. That show was what I was thinking the whole time when he made a comment about tv shows.
I seem to be encountering a rather nasty bug on iOS 14: I start playing a new game, finish the first chapter and minimize the CoG app. Afterwards when opening the app again on next day, all my Attributes are reset to 1 dot, Skills to zero dots (except for the Drive, which is 1 dot) and Disciplines to zero dots.
What’s the proper process to report this so that it gets fixed?
I’m afraid that this is an issue that is beyond the scope of what the forum can help with. In this case, you should contact Choice of Games directly by sending an email to support@choiceofgames.com.
If you can provide screenshots and/or system data that can help support with bug tracing, it often helps them find and (hopefully) erratic such bugs.
So in one of the endings, you can have your character move to Seattle and get a piece of the action. And since Bloodlines 2 will be set in Seattle, I hope the game mentions our Courier PC and what happened to them. Though for my Caitiff PC, I doubt he can survive but he knows his way around politics.
Even if they did, there’s too many variables for more than an allusion to “a courier” who could be anybody. I think it’s up to us to imagine what our courier gets up to.
Considering she is essentially a side character, and seemingly just put there to loom? Dolph is surprisingly likable. I wish we got more information about the nice for our two clan in game though, I’m not really up on the vampire the masquerade lore outside of this one.
