THEY DO. And they have to make sure that they duplicate all variables and changeable states. It is a mess, but I think it’s doable for someone who wants to, with a lot of blood sweat and tears.

Just started reading this and thought I would drop by and say my first impressions. I’m merely at the start of chapter 1 (I think), and already I’m enjoying the story very much. I like the pacing and the way you reveal the world to the reader in a way that doesn’t feel confusing or too dense. I particularly love that you added a confirmation dialog for each race so we know what each means before we make a choice.
I was not familiar with the solar punk genre before this, but I find it an interesting setting and look forward to seeing what you can do with it. I’m going to come back later and share my thoughts as I progress with the story, but for now, I’ll mention a few tiny bugs/ inconsistencies that I’ve noticed.
After you choose what you are attracted to (men/women/both), you can customize your former lover/platonic bestie. If you choose a preset attraction, then choose to customize Le, you are asked if Le is a man/woman/person. This game already has this information because I chose my orientation before (granted, you still have to think about how you handle the nb option, but that’s up to you as to I don’t know how you handle gender/sexuality in your story).
The 2nd thing I want to mention is more of a coding/ technical recommendation. I went through your code and I think you will need more variables to support he/she/they grammar correctly (I haven’t stumbled upon this issue so far while reading your story, but you might hit this issue eventually).
You will need a variable for the following scenarios
- verbs that may or may not end in “s”: he walks/ she walks/ they walk
- verbs that may or may not end in “es”: he marches/ she marches/ they march
- a contraction or full form of is/are: he is/ she is/ they are
- a contraction or full form of have/has: he’s/ she’s / they’ve
Also, found a small pronoun error (Id is a woman in this playthrough)

just noticed that if you choose to use the preset for L, the name will presented fine like on the first pic but when you decide to change their appearance but keep their name, their name won’t capitalized like on the second pic and every name of L after that would have the first letter of their name not capitalized

no idea on the specifics, but I got to trigger as a id past romance mc for one of the choices when you attack them? though that was also last update so idk how stuff has changed :x

@KrazyKeke , it is only displayed if you choose the poly in the flashback (you need to speak with “a familiar face” instead of approaching L in the mess-hall.

The title might have been but i think the offical public update is to be some time this week if i recall correctly.
