This week the bulletin is a little later than usual as we were waiting for a couple of notable jams to wrap up so we could include games in our jam highlights!
Please note that all our randomly selected games were pulled from a list of complete projects. Demos and episodic games will get mentioned when they update later on, but this is the only chance for the completed games to appear in the bulletin!
Lots of exciting news this week so keep reading to learn more!
We apologise for the bulletin being a little late this time around. Due to some real-life issues with things like power outages and bad storms, we weren’t able to get it out by the usual time.
As always, we have some exciting launches and announcements to cover!
Remember to share our bulletin with your friends and support indie devs by leaving reviews! Every review counts.
So I can’t put a new post so I’m just adding it here at the bottom of this one. Hope that is okay
Hello everybody
Issue #23 is out now and it’s somehow September!
Whether you are moving into autumn or spring, this time of year always brings a host of new games and projects as we start to wrap up Q3 and move into Q4.
It’s hard to believe we are rounding the final turn of 2024 soon.
There are some cool updates for the last half of August but with several jams around the corner, news might be a little slow until those start wrapping up!
Once again thank you for checking out the bulletin and we will see you next issue!
I don’t know if anyone has spoken about Love and Deepspace on here - it doesn’t fit neatly into the otome box - but it has me in a bit of a chokehold. I have not seen anything like it before.
This month we are starting off with a bang with a brand new ‘Autumn/Fall’ themed design. What do you think about our cozy new theme? Are you enjoying spicy crunchy leaf season and spooky season? or spring for those of us in the southern hemisphere.
We’ve got a mix of everything in this issue, with quite a few new releases. So make sure to check them out.
Thank you all for your continued support, and we can’t wait to see you again next issue!
With the last month of the year finally upon us things are starting to quieten down as the holidays pick up for people. However, we still have some exciting new releases and game updates.
The bulletin is a labour of love for us, something we created to try to help people have a more centralised location for quick bite-sized updates. We don’t take donations and have no plan to monetise the bulletin. The best way to support us is to simply share the bulletin and let your friends and communities know about it. We hope the bulletin helps players find new titles to check out and developers find new players.
Have a great fortnight and we will see you in the next issue!
So. The new DLC for A Date With Death just came out.
I feel like I am never gonna emotionally recover from it. Like, ever. I made a last-minute decision to join the Kickstarter last summer and it was so. Worth. It. Like, I am so happy that I lost my Kickstarter cherry on this masterpiece
So now, Casper/Grim/Babygirl has officially dethroned Cove Holden (Our Life: Beginnings and Always) as my favorite otome game character. They were alternating for the crown before, but now Casper is officially the king.
We are back with a new winter theme we hope you enjoy.
As 2024 comes to a close, it’s hard to believe how quickly the year has flown by. With the holidays approaching, Amare news is slowing down, but there are still some exciting new launches, updates, and projects to check out
Have a great fortnight and we will see you in the next issue!
So. Love and Deepspace has a new love interest releasing in a bit. Lol effing called it that he’s still alive.
I stopped playing last December and haven’t quite reached that part of the story, but I did read up a bit on the spoilers. I was like, “he’s gonna come back, isn’t he?” And as I was randomly browsing AO3, I stumbled upon his tag and saw that he’s releasing, and I’m hella proud of myself for being a truther.
So I’m back to playing again haha.
Anyway. Move over for a bit, Zayne. My bro’s coming back lol
This edition focuses on non-jam releases and crowdfunding updates, with plenty of exciting news to share!
Inside, you’ll find:
New full game releases, including a gothic dark fantasy and a horror otome. Fresh demos for a yandere thriller, a Yuri/GL romance, and more. Episodic updates for a stat-management visual novel and a dark fantasy romance. The latest in interactive fiction, featuring a gothic mystery and an urban fantasy story. New game announcements, including a yuri mermaid tale. Crowdfunding highlights for upcoming romance visual novels, including an isekai fantasy, a Cinderella-inspired romance, and a story-driven RPG.

This one has recently been updated, and although it’s still a work in progress, it already offers so much content.
The story unfolds entirely through text messages, but it’s done in such a clever way that even in-person scenes—like dates, hangouts, or group interactions—feel natural and immersive. Instead of awkwardly pretending people would text while sitting next to each other, the game smoothly shifts into things like calls or cleverly framed messaging that still captures the moment without breaking immersion.
The cast is super engaging and genuinely funny; the banter with friends and family feels really natural. And there are choices that actually affect your personality stats ( which I find very detailed ). But even more than that, the choices seriously shape the story itself, which is something you don’t often see in many visual novels. It really feels like VNs are evolving, much like HG, by putting interactivity and player agency at the forefront.
Disclaimer: None of the followings are finished, and some are pretty short. MC is genderselectable.
There are also these two new yandere VNs :
I think it is pretty well-known. As always the dev is serving with the art, mini games and cliffhangers.
This one not only has absolutely scrumptious art, but once again, choices actually matter ! The story branches right from the beginning, with different paths that all lead to the dorm, and depending on which one you take, it introduces you to different characters, but you will meet them all eventually.
It’s surprising that you can avoid encountering the yandere character entirely until then. This means you can miss all the signs that hint at him being that. And when the MC finally meets him, you wouldn’t even suspect it—you can even choose to act suspicious towards him.
And then a few that aren’t exactly new, but definitely worth checking out :
You play as the yandere. It’s still pretty short, and the most interesting parts haven’t fully kicked in yet, but I really like the original premise. You can be downright mean, morally questionable, and even gaslight your amnesiac ex into believing you’re still in a relationship, or you can choose to be a 2.0 yandere, who actually has a sane head on their shoulder and decide to be honest. Personally, I don’t think I’d be able to go down the first route—I’d rather be the one being chased than doing the chasing—but I might try it after completing the second.
In this game, the MC’s husband is supposedly dead, so they create an android clone with all of their shared memories—except for a few important ones. But this android doesn’t just want to be a temporary replacement… he wants to fully take the place of the real husband permanently. I can’t wait to see what happens when or if the real Keto shows up.
This one is just so cute! And i like the title ! It’s currently being revamped, with no set release date yet. It’s a slice-of-life VN with one main love interest—your academic rival, who’s had a long-time crush on you. The MC harbors a lot of resentment because they’ve always been second to his best, even though he never puts in much effort. It feels like a shoujo anime… and it was actually submitted to Josei Jam.
And lastly, there’s this music band-inspired VN :
It’s been sometime since I last played it. Even though the protagonist’s past is somewhat set, you still get to influence their present and how they connect with others. The music and atmosphere give it a wonderfully nostalgic feel. Though, it focuses more on character building than music making.
As we head deeper into April, the Amare scene continues to bloom with fresh content, intriguing updates, and exciting campaigns!
Inside, you’ll find:
New full releases, including dark fairy tales and poetic visual novels. Updated demos and new chapters for fantasy and sci-fi romance titles. Interactive fiction highlights, from supernatural sapphic stories to sports-themed slice-of-life, horror, and chef-inspired romance. Fresh announcements featuring dark fantasy and horror romances. Crowdfunding news, including a sci-fi mystery, a magical girl romance, and successful funding milestones.
We hope this issue brings some sparkle to your day—enjoy, take care, and we’ll catch you next time!
