He is one of my favorite ROs, but the cold act from him through this season became very stressful. This new take on his romance is so damn good, I am really glad the author made these changes.

Holy fucking hell is this accurate!! I ended up having to play from the beginning of the season because my save wouldn’t load and it was so worth it!
I love the changes. And I about choked to death at this exchange:
He leans close to my ear, “you call me that again, and you’re getting dicked down on the spot. Understand?” I almost choke. It feels like forever since I’ve seen this side of Zillah. It’s not only shocking to see it back but an exciting thing to mess with later.
Oh yeah, that’s the Zillah I’ve been craving all S3. Of course, Bast should’ve expected it when she called him ‘daddy’. 
Need more buttons of his to push now. Bast is going to slam her finger on every one of them to bring this out more!

LOL me too! I missed him. I am glad the author made him just talk to MC. All we had in this season were the looks 
I swear that, before the changes, the first time that I read the scene where we are already home and Zillah stops, seems that wants to say something but just walks away I wanted to punch my screen. He was becoming an Adam from Wayhaven in this season. I am glad it’s over. No more pining and suffering in silence Zillah. I missed horny Zillah.

Yeah, I had gotten fed up with it. It was like, here’s the MC with everything dumped on their shoulders, being told they only exist to be a vessel and have their soul destroyed, and the one they fell for (or were falling for) was avoiding them like the plague. I’m on her Patreon and had voiced my feelings about the Zillah path when she said she was doing a rewrite, but my understanding was that “cold Zillah” was staying, so I haven’t really bothered looking for updates.
I am so happy with this one. Zillah really was becoming Adam fro Wayhaven, and it didn’t fit him.
It was about time horny Zillah returned and the pining and suffering ended. That was so damned awesome. I’m excited about the next update now!

In chapter 4, when you’re ready to head out with Adoel, and have this conversation:
Summary
“And,” Zillah practically shouts, “what about the rest of us? Or will we be sent to timeout too?” Adoel chooses not to answer, instead turning to address their angels.
“We don’t know how many demons they’ll be so you won’t be sidelined,” Sydero answers him but then points at me, “though are you sure you’re up for it?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?”
“Because you’re still in training,” Zillah reminds me.
“I know how to defend myself.”
“Bring your gun and blade regardless.”
There’s a choice:
*“Of course.”
*“Do I look like a child?”
*“Yes, daddy.”
Choose the third one (the MC is pricelessly sarcastic about it, lol). After Zillah gets over the initial shock (and Sydero says you two need to talk, lol), Zillah leans in and whispers that to you. I literally squealed. I had been missing horny dom Zillah, and am thrilled he’s back. My MC now wants to call him that again to push him into doing what he threatened.

Yes! Rahim is actually my favorite route, the slow burn was fun and all, but it’s enough. I want to see progress in his romance. Also I want to beat his shitty ex so bad. What an asshole.
Ah yes, Chris route. I used to love Chris so much. But after that shitty scene on the night club, I just… Couldn’t. What a shitshow that episode was. What a shitty thing to do make the MC put on pretty clothes, go to the club with him an then we have to deal with him flirting with other people because hE wAnTs To FeEl NoRmAl. What a shitty scene with a shitty excuse. This basically killed Chris route for me. The author could make he lash out on MC all she wanted, that would be okay. He wants to blame MC? Ok. But the way things happen is just… Disgusting. This scene was such a turn off for me. Argh, I still get pissed just thinking about it. I tried play again his route, just not going with him to the club… But seriously, what the fuck.

Rahim was my second choice (Zillah has always been my first choice of routes to play!), but I never really made a MC for him because he’s such an asshole sometimes. I just play with my generic MC I use to test games. But I agree, I wish the MC could beat his ex to a pulp.
Chris… never did anything for me. His friend route is okay, after a while. For a LI, he just holds no interest for me.

Good for you, since you didn’t have to deal with his shit in the nightclub scene. The icing on the cake is that we can confront him in the nightclub about this shitty behavior but 1. He treats us like a piece of garbage 2. We lose relationship points.
So we have to leave him right there with other girls or just ignore this shitshow and wait for him in silence. Amazing. Oh I forgot, we can flirt with strangers too. And then he gets pissed with us because he can do it, but MC apparently can’t.

For some reason, I’m not surprised. Chris just doesn’t feel like an adult to me, which is why I avoided his path. Zillah may be a jerk sometimes, but he’s not a child (well, he has his moments, but we all do, lol).

Yeah, I stopped played for some time after that. Seriously, if there is a thing that is a deal breaker for me, is a cheater RO. Ok, Chris doesn’t actually cheat Roe, but the situation was bad enough.
You should totally try the other routes. With Zillah romance you can go two paths, enemies to lovers or you can be friendly with him since the beginning. I like the friendly path.
Rahim is a slow burn and in the beginning he is kind of an asshole. After that he gets more friendly - I love the interactions with him - also, he is very protective of Roe.

I mean, is a bad situation for Chris, if was only the whining and blaming Roe ok but, the nightclub scene crossed a line. Also, Chris’ reaction when Roe discover that they aren’t human is… Questionable. He basically kicked somebody who was already down.
And then even after all of that, if you’re a masochist and keep Chris’ romance path, we discover that is a little… Meh? Sometimes seems like it’s the author intention for the reader hate Chris?? When he isn’t bitching about something, his romance it’s not bad, just… Boring. The other paths feel much more interesting.

I actually got the impression from her comments on Patreon that she loves Chris. For a while, I thought that was her favorite. Sometimes I wonder if authors just have a much different idea of a “good” romance option than I do.
