Not a real fan of stat-raising otome games, but I think these ones are pretty good:
Dandelion ~Wishes Brought to You~ is probably my favourite one, despite how guide-reliant it is. It’s by Cheritz and is definitely worth playing through entirely.
Liar! Uncover the Truth is a ticket-based game and is more mystery than stat-based, but I think the wait makes it a little better. Definitely one of the more unique gameplays out there.
Nicole is stat-based, but I didn’t really enjoy it. Probably best to get it when it’s on sale, but you might like it, since I kind of ruined it for myself.
Seven Kingdoms The Princess Problem isn’t out yet, but I think you’d really like this. There’s a nice balance between the story and the stats. There is an extended demo though, and you can get a real nice feel for the game from it.
Otometeki Koi Kakumei Love Revo (ds), Tokimeki memorial 1,2 and 3(1 and 2 in eng for ds,but I think the 3 has and eng patch for ds and psp) all have stats gameplay and eng. patches. (I personally didn’t like Otometeki much) Also try this site:http://www.englishotomegames.net
Love Revo is a pretty hard stats-raising otome game. Even with a guide and 5 playthroughs I still haven’t managed to get the easiest guy’s good ending.I just suck. It might be hard to like the LO’s at first because they’re quite rude but as far as I know the endings are worth it. It’s on both psp and ds but there are emulators for if you want to play it on pc or android.
Tokimeki memorial girl’s side games are a tad bit easier, but I only completed the third one since I found the first two to difficult…Oh, and It has love triangle options XD XD You also have to go on dates and dress to the weather and/or their preferences. It’s really fun though, I recommend it. It’s both on psp and ds + emulators.
Love String Bugs is on the pc, you have to raise stats, talk and dress and go on dates. It’s kinda like Tokimeki but toned down. I found it to be quite difficult even with a guide and the cg’s are really deformed. Still, it’s a good time waster.
There’s also Brother’s conflict on the psp or pc with an emulator but it has yet to get an English translation.
Oh and of course Rock Robin! I cannot recommend it to you enough. It’s a band-sim stat raising visual novel. The main game is done and now they are working on open-ended mode, which continues the previous relationships or starts new ones.
Royal Alchemist is really good so far. It has only got a demo so far but you can preorder the full game. You raise your stats taking lessons each week and teaching three princes and raising their stats awell. Its kinda similar to long live the queen in that it tells you when you fail a check. but its a lot easier to play and you wont die every five seconds. Your character can still be killed but not as often. Your stats in certain things will help your relationship with the princes and different decisions will boost different stats.
It’s called Twisted Wonderland and it’s only in the Japanese market for now, but I just wanted to share this because this is the best thing I’ve ever seen.
Edit: LMAO even Iago is a character (Jafar’s , for those of you not versed in this thrilling lore)
Isn’t it less an otome and more just a rhythm/battle game with pretty boys in it? That’s what the articles I’ve seen about it say, anyways. (It sucks not being able to romance all these beautiful men though.)
In any case, these designs are killing me, Iago’s especially! Yana Toboso, the mangaka of Black Butler, did the art for this game and they’re as beautiful and detailed as you’d expect!
I keep hearing conflicting things! Some articles describe it as being purely a rhythmic/battle game, others say that it has otome features and elements and can be story-heavy. Gonna have to wait until more is released to know for sure, but I hope it’s the latter because hot dang. :,-)
But yes! The art alone is gorgeous, and seeing the reimagined vision of each character is fantastic. I really just can’t get over that out of all the possible choices of side characters that exist, a talking parrot made the cut. I’m in love with whoever made and approved that decision - they are everything I could ever hope to aspire to be.
Obviously Disney executives recently discovered rule 34 and decided to test the waters with romance game material…I am very concerned about this, on the other hand they look cute.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this one yet, but I’ve really been enjoying Tailor Tales so far. At the moment only two out of the six planned routes are available, but the stories are self contained so you can read right away. And it’s free!
Also… apparently there is a plus version of the game with added smut.
It’s only available through the patron at the moment, so I haven’t gotten it. I’m hoping it will become accessible through DLC. I’m just happy to see a game out there with adult content.
I just came across these and fell in love because they’re so well written.
If you’re familiar with Rinmaru (Ascension and Cardinal Cross), she made two new free games on her website! They’re not complete yet, but each has a few chapters in so far and have amazing lore, characters, and dialogue. Oathbreaker is a fantasy set in the same world as Ascension, and Noctis Umbra is a modern fantasy. : - )
oh wow i haven’t played that in about a year. was a pretty interesting game i thought last time i played they had 2 already though.
Edit: oh i apparently played just after Dimitry was finished in july of last year. still was a good game and it was pretty good.
@Laguz I didn’t want to go off topic on the other thread but your comment about romancing solar winds made me wonder whether you’ve played Genderwrecked - “make out with the sun” is one of its selling points! I haven’t played it myself but it’s on my (ridiculously long) to play list, and I’ve heard good things about it.
