Out of curiosity, are there mass-market meads and absinthes (well, in absinthe’s case, pastis or another anise liquor is more likely) available in OKS 2030? Like Angry Orchard hard cider (which can be purchased in my local Walmart) and various sparkling wines (which can be found easily).

Nice. I really like how it’s a simple design while still having a mystical vibe to it with the flowers. Feels like a sword you could get from a mystical lady in the woods.

This is pure gold!! I really enjoyed every minute of my read. I was a bit sceptical about the premise since I only know of Arthurian from Fate series (welp) and AU from Jin-Rou (
) but your summary sold it for me, and I spent three days laughing like a maniac in front of my laptop.
The narrative may seem long, but isn’t redundant at read and fleshes the characters so well. Usually I am not a fan of “MC’s friend aka starter pokemon” RO and Adrian comes kicking into my face. The handholding scene is heartwarming and the dynamic he has with MC, the jokes, the “MC is doing wild shits again” attitude, make him feels like an actual endearing friend. Not to mention his little secret that I want to find out. Interesting guy.
And I’ll not develop on Merlin because Merlin possess my mind right now.
The choices were inclusives and interesting. Never once I couldn’t find choices that I wish to see story delevopment/trio’s reaction. It is rewarding in itself to see the two react to my randomness. I like how you also describe MC in detail, feels more, MC-esque rather than bland self-insert.
OMG just saw the update announcement. Now I cannot sleep anymore.

Before you play the game with an old save, you’ll want to clear your cache for the oneknightstand.co website and then check that the game’s frontpage is displaying Version 0.23. Then after loading the save, check the Status Page to make sure that your stats haven’t reset back to the default ?¿?¿?¿.
If your variables have reset back to the default, then unfortunately that save file has corrupted (it happens to the best of us for unfathomable reasons) and you’ll have to reload another save file. It you try to play the game through a corrupted save, you’ll just get a bunch of non-existent errors. Please do the entire clear cache + confirm non-corrupted save file before reporting any potential errors. Then report the errors… all the errors!

(Since there were bugs & typos still reported & fixed throughout Chapter 1 & 2, your current saves are probably going to reset to the beginning of each section of the game. If things get too wonky, you might want to try restarting from the beginning. )

Not really, the exotic drinks are still meant to be more-or-less exotic. For absinthe and mead, it’s still mostly the bog basic stuff you can get at your local store now. It’d just depend if you’re in an area that lets grocery & convenience stores have liquor licenses and who those stores use as their suppliers. (It’s rare, but there are convenience stores that sell absinthe and mead now, so we’ll just say it’s slightly less rare in OKS 2030)
Since I’m not sure what people are imagining for their “favorite” brand, we’ll also say that the USA in OKS has repealed that current law that limited the amount of thujone in absinthe sold in person, so those European brands can be picked up at a local store and not just bought online.

@Unregistered I got the chance to play the new update, so I started from the beginning and when I try to pick a favorite color it says "Non-existant variable ‘favcolor_[Color name]’.
I think its a bug.

This got reported a couple of times on Tumblr, so I’ll paste my reply from there on here for anyone else having the same problems.

Okay, I went through every single permutation of color on the version of the game currently uploaded to this site (all 117 of them 
) and I can’t replicate this bug. Also…
Those variables absolutely do already exist in the files uploaded to the website.
All I can suggest is clearing your cache again, then if the error still persists, try playing in incognito or private browsing mode. You basically need to try and force your browser to use the actual updated files. Final attempt would be switching to a new browser that hasn’t played the game yet.
Incognito/private browsing/new browser might mess with your ability to access your save files, however, so I’d probably slam clear cache a few more times before trying them. (Also, obviously don’t use a corrupted save file, but I doubt any of you would be doing so early in the game anyway)
Also, here’s the link to the current startup file. Maybe directly viewing it will force the browser to acknowledge its existence? ¯\(ツ)/¯
I manually go through every single choice/variation/ifelse etc in the game and then run QuickTest and RandomTest 50,000 - 100,000 times before making the game public. (It was 70,000x this time).
The chances of this sort of game-breaking bug passing through all that testing isn’t completely impossible, but it’s highly improbable. 99.9% of the time, if you’re getting this sort of pop-up window then your browser is being a &*%^ and not using the correct updated files.
(That only applies to the game-breaking pop-up window bugs, other more subtle bugs and typos are alas, still very, very probable).
I’ve noticed while testing the game, that Chrome in particular never automatically uses the updated files, but clearing the cache there is usually enough to fix that. (I did also get the favcolor_ error on Chrome the first time I played through the game without clearing the cache)
What browser are all you using? Also mobile or desktop?

I really don’t know what is causing some people’s browsers to not use the updated files, particularly if clearing the cache isn’t enough to solve the issue. Searching the forums brings up a couple issues where it happened to Dashingdon games, but nowhere to this degree.
Maybe playing a compiled version of the game like what’s on Itch.io would sidestep the issue? (But the itch.io version won’t be updated for awhile since it only gets major updates, I usually wait until the bug reports from the Open Beta start winding down before updating it)
Magic should be part of the stats being compiled on the Ending Screen of the Open Beta, although now that I think of it, I probably should’ve waited until the Chapter 2-4 update with all the potential stat boosts from the Free Time Hub.
Yeah, it’s not so much the possession itself as what had to happen for the MC to get possessed in the first place. It might actually still be technically possible if you do a singularly dumb thing (stick your head outside of the trailer window etc) and then hit all the parts that reduced Corruption).

Btw when I used Incognito it says 0.23.

Yeah, Incognito doesn’t use the browser’s cache, so it should be guaranteed to use the actual updated files on the website. (Problem with playing in Incognito is you won’t have access to your save files) If your browser is showing Version 0.22 at this point, that means it’s using the old outdated files and will definitely be popping up nonexistent errors.
Now that the (non-incognito) game says Version 0.23, the error has gone away, right?

Playing the sabre route and I keep getting possessed in the bathroom no matter how much I ignore the poltergeist!! So annoying, I don’t want to keep going through the prologue. How do I avoid this?

Edit: I finally figured it out, I needed a higher willpower stat for how in denial I was.
