As for the game there is some great castle management with a lot of options and many different ways to handle a situation either via war or diplomacy or espionage however the storyline is nonexistent. Had the author put more effort and worked on the storyline more this would have arguably been a gem.
There is this conspiracy that is so obvious and I had spies on the pertinent character the entire time. It is frustrating that I can’t address it at this point.
I rarely comment at this forum but Im so dissapointed that i cant retry and have checkpoints or saves and loads.
So this is kinda my review.
The only reason I left this comment is to say that this is a mess of a game.I tried everything to convince everyone that im gonna be king, and Im sure that I wouldve got it.I specifically asked them to VOTE for ME and yet,at the end I voted for Gareth out of formality and just to appear respectful, and then the 11 voters ALL CHOSE GARETH?WTF!!!IM SO FRUSTRATED!!IM SO EXCITED THAT I DELAYED MY HOMEWORK ONLY TO GET THAT ENDING?!IVE ABUSED THE SYSTEM AND TOOK EVERY LITTLE SIDE QUEST AND THIS HAPPENS?!
RANT OVER
At least it isnt that tedious,I played the GT2 and when you replace the son of the king of valra I have to press an option to recruit a single footman once at a time. Not a choice of 10s or 20s but one at a time.
Its still very tedious but theres a improvement I wish the author replaced the upgrade system into making a story WITH A FEW upgrades here and there, chosing whatever we do to change our Kingdom, village, castle accordingly.Be a tyrant or something in between, whatever.
Every upgrade seemed to be useless,I ugraded the max training level and the only thing it does is to upgrade 2 militia into light infantry, nothing more.I spent like 25,000 k for that and thats it?!The upgrades are downright useless,I never found out what the secret advantages are,and i wont replay the same stuff for 95% just to see that 5%.No skill checks of any kind.Making more than a few things obsolete and downright useless.
Yes, if your nice to Miri and win the squire torment, then when your choosing your guard captain in the first stage of the game you choose a Valrian named Baily, and then check Diplomatic options and choose to visit a foreign kingdom, Valra will be a choose and with Baily as your guard captain, Miri will invite you to stay an extra night, choose to go to her room, and the rest is obvious
what is the timeline of this series?
It says on the very first post that this game was a prequel to both Swamp Castle and The Great Tournament tho. Doesn’t a prequel means it goes before them?
Yes it is, the correct chronological order is :
- War for Mag
- Smp Castle
- GT
- Lf of Merc
- GT2
