Not sure if this has been asked but does romancing Clara lock Richard out of being king? Ive been test trying and i always come with either the mc being king/queen or Atheris becoming queen
It can lock him out indirectly yeah.
Richard doesnât become king if you have more Rival points than Friend points with him and romancing Clara can give you Rival points.

Come to think of it, has Alvena done anything thatâs comparable to what Isabelle is trying to do? I know the worst thing sheâs done so far is poison Isabelle and her unborn child (not excusing that, thatâs horrible). Meanwhile Isabelle is trying to turn Richard/Atheris against us and is possibly stirring up a rebellion as a ploy to get revenge on Alvena.
One is a crime against another person, while the other will likely result in many casualties in a country thatâs already struggling with war and a crumbling economy.

Shouldnât think of bigger problems first like the war. After all she revenge will do no good if sheâs dead.
Sheâs not that clever openly plotting our sisters and mcs death since all it takes is a snap of a finger to lock her up if mc or sisters rule. At least our brother wonât let her brainwash him completely.

and Matteo is another of her bane , she love her brother but didnât know Matteo poison the King , if Matteo is convicted , i could drag her in as well .
For Chinese Dynasty, if a person committed treason against the Emperor , his/her long line of family members would be convicted as well

Apart now your part of the family earned eternal hate from him and his mother. Her mother might of been cruel but she had a good point besides the alliance doesnât have to last forever

She is only interested in political marriage so probably not especially since her brother was tortured and her father killed by the king. She only wants power and revenge.

No, sheâs confirmed to be a romance option that isnât strictly political. Not only that, but you can have a poly relationship with both her and Clara (where all of them have feelings for each other). Thereâs more info on the writerâs Tumblr if youâre interested.
But in order to have a romance with her you need to have been kind to her brother and agree to a political marriage. Thereâs nothing that suggests she wants revenge otherwise she wouldnât propose an alliance with us, she just wants her brother to be okay otherwise she would have instantly sided with our enemy to wipe us out. She does like power, however.
The only relationship with her thatâs strictly political is when you go for Daemir since he will only accept you being with Xavier/Lena if itâs purely political and heâs the only one youâre romantically interested in.

How do you get a political marriage with Lena?
You have to be chosen by the sword, afaik. And agree on her proposal for Political marriage.

The mc has to be chosen by the sword but personally itâs not worth it since she will gain a ridiculous amount of power. So if u got on the bad side of her uâre screwed. But this alliance could help our kingdom survive since we need allies badly

She offered that choice to our sister if she is queen so the same should happen if u are a female mc.
