Miracle Hearts [Work In Progress]

Oh god, I can tell this is so kawaii uguu desu~ from the title screen alone. I think my head will explode if I play it.
I dare not play this game, lest my life will be over.

I’m going to go watch Bleach now.

I like this idea and I’ll be sure to play with the results. Just a tip: HP and SP are not usually used in Choicescript games. Though if you’re trying to make a genuine RPG out of the system, I’d be interested in the results.

Otherwise, relax on the HP, SP and elemental affinities, and focus more on character traits. Look at (for example) Choice of Romance, and make the game less tactically-focused. It’d be more interesting to focus on how you stop the villains, rather than whether you do. For instance, there’s one big difference I remember from the SM manga and the anime. In the anime, Sailor Moon always tries to redeem and heal the villains, while the manga version killed Nephrite out of hand almost the moment he came on-panel. Allowing you to decide whether your beautiful soldier tries to talk or blast first when dealing with sentient enemies is likely to mean more than whether she uses fire or water.

Hm, it reminds me of any given game by Hanako games. I like that sorta thing! I wish you luck.

Sounds like a very interesting concept, I was just curious why you’d chose ChoiceScript as your platform instead of the standard VN engine (Ren’Py, maybe?) for implementing this kind of game?

How interesting! The concept reminds me of a otome game. I like the fact that its targeted towards females (But then again I may be biased because I am a female). I will be keeping an eye on this! I wish you good luck Himeko!

I agree. With HP system, it could less fun and more frustrating; remember that a COG it’s mostly used to escape the cruel reality that we most likely live every day. But suit yourself! I’m excited either way.

I understood your examples; Sailor Moon never fails. And I’m pleased to see that you also watched Utena, we are definitely on the same page, ha-ha.

Yay, I can be like Sailor Mars now!

i like it

Sorry! I was finishing my midterms, so I could not reply your questions sooner! Now I can!

@Ramidel what you say it’s true! I was planning in starting with a basic system similar to RP, but I think plot should count more! I do want to have some point system of some sort, but perhaps I have to think about it a little bit more. Thank you for your suggestion! It was very helpful!~

@13ventrm Hanako games are great! Hopefully my game can be at one point comparable!

@seryou: I choose CoG as platform because of maany reasons.
1.- I can focus more on the plot/story line since it is more like a novel!
In visual games most of the text is dialog based, and while it is nice I think one can get more out of the plot in a novel platform
2.- If I choose to make it as Visual or an RPG it would take a lot more time, since it would much mooore graphic heavy. Right now I won’t have to do as much visuals as I would have to other wise!
3.- I will make it eventually, if it’s popular enough ( or at least played by more than my friends!). I just need the money and the time. I would need firstly and more importantly a soundtrack. The images, I can make them on my own, but music is also a great important part of a visual novel. If there is demand there will be supply!
CoG, also gives me great liberty! I can develop the game initially, if I decide to make it as a Visual novel and/or RPG later half of the work would be done!

@slumberousRabbit00: Thank you for the luck! Yes! It is sort of an otome game!

@VoodooDolly: It’s true! It’s true! I’ll be thinking more about a better system! But don’t worry! What ever I do, it will be more plot based!

@ScarletGeisha: yaaay!

@vampierkid222 : I’m happy you do!

Also I will be posting updates on my tumblr!

I don’t have much right now there, but this weekend I’ll be posting something. Hopefully, although I do have 2 essays to finish… *sighs*

“and I just want to become a cat”

My cup of tea went everywhere…^^

Aw man, I love the way you color *U*

The cat line was awesome, Himeko <3

Regarding the system to use, look at the various CoGs and decide whether you want to go simple or complex. You could probably do something on the level of Vampire if you want to go nuts with stats, or Choice of Romance/Choice of the Dragon if you want to be simpler (the latter is probably easier to code, obviously).

Any news on this?

Any game process?

She hasn’t been active here since May. Unfortunate, since I loved the concept.
