Plus one to Morphine. It should also be mentioned that depending on the relationship Button has with their parents, it can be “done in defiance” to what they want. They want Button safe more than anything, but the reality there is that it wouldn’t really matter if they just became a ‘homebody’, or worked in a different field; nefarious intended ments will find a way to hurt/use them.

I wasn’t referring to their parents but to his brother actually. The demo states that their pollard score and their parent’s influence made the dean almost refuse his application despite having a perfect score but his brother supported his decision and since he is at the top of the organization, he must have a lot of say in the matter.

This is true, but knowing Nick, he probably thought something along the lines of “babysitting made easy”. It would be easier to protect someone if they’re surrounded by strong, trustworthy ments. The problem with the whole “trustworthy” is what the most recent demo demonstrated for us. I really don’t want to say “karma” but it could be construed that Nick wasn’t thinking about the rest of Aeon by being gung ho for Button to join.

adore Nick:clap:. I want a brother like him! I want a HUSBAND like him! Oh my gosh. When it came to fleshing out the relationship with our parents, yeah, I got a bit emotional inside. I think I put a little too much of myself into this MC:skull:. I love the writing and flow, and of course, when I was REAAAAAALLY into this… it ends. I’d say I just like Kent or Grayson or Sally, but really, all of the characters are likeable here. And the concept itself is so cool! I saw someone here make a MHA joke and now I’m like “wow Mind Blind x MHA crossover???”.

I was going to ask whether, given Button’s lack of mental defenses, as well as the general fact that some people can control minds of other people, there would be some way for them to argue mental incapacitation or something if it turns out that Button was mind-controlled to blow up the building. But I suppose that would be difficult to prove?
