I’m… I’m… This is so good. Really, really good. I went for the resentful MC who still loves his family though they’re Ments, and he isn’t, and he just really wants to prove he can be useful in any shape or form (this somehow feels like Deku from MHA). Like, I’m labeling this MC clinically depressed and anxious, mildly codependent on Nick and often drowning in morbid thought processes. He has a huge crush on Gray and highkey- lowkey would combust if Gray actively returned his feelings and is half convinced and dejected that it’s all one sided.
So. Yeah! This was a great thing to play and I’m desperately waiting for it to come out.
I think this may be the first CoG I’ve played through (both WIP or otherwise complete) in that I’m genuinely interested in ALL the ROs. All of them are intriguing in their own ways and I can honestly say that I would replay this multiple times to explore all of their routes. I feel like it’s because I can understand where their personalities come from, and the variety of dialogue options makes it harder to guess what triggers relationship changes (and also lets me really personalize my Button–I’m impressed by how many options you provide!)
The plot itself is fantastic; I really like the idea of being mundane in a world where everyone else is “special”. Nick in particular became really important to me. I know some others really enjoy being antagonistic to him and other sibling characters, but I suppose as the eldest child in my family I both understand where he’s coming from and I desire being doted on by an older sibling. It’s nice to have that kind of supportive relationship.
In other words, you’re doing amazing and I look forward to more!
I had so much work the last 3 weeks that today when connecting all I was thinking was : what if the author already called for beta-tester and I couldn’t postule for it
It was a horrible moment but fortunately everything is fine. And now I’m gonna have fun with getting Rosy’s interest !
I’m here stay right there Rosy ! I’m coming for you !
I already know this is gonna be a game I’ll play over and over again (since I’ve already done so with the demo :p)
I love everyone’s character (even that little booger Clarence) and I’m gonna have fun doing the romances!
Rosy is first <3 Anytime he showed an itsy bitsy bit of care for Button I just
I must say, it’s pretty fun to hate on Nick lmao. Alas, in regards of his “relationship” with Sally, could Button have an option to not make it happen? It could be interesting, and it could be also another action to hate on Nick
I believe that is the default option! Only if you “activate” a certain choice/s, they get together.
They wont go into a relationship if the MC does not agree with it
never chose that option myself, so lmk if I said smth wrong ^^
A violent reminder that the Contingency Contract is today.
Wait, no, sorry, wrong event. Cupid Calamity with Grayson is gonna be out today. Depending on what time Jo is releasing it, so stay tuned. I can tell I’m gonna maintain my four hours sleep schedule again.
I finally could play the update. I just had time to play to get Rosy’s attention but it was so good
The survivor answer was really nice and got the perfect reaction.
Until having Kim’s interest it was hard to flirt with him, or more precisely it was only going one way. Maybe… Now… Next time the flirting will go both way. At least I think we’ll get new reactions from him about our flirting.
Aaah Rosy
Glitch knowing so much about Rosy and the secret side of the academy is really suspicious for me. I love his personnality but it’s like I’ve been warned. What are you hiding Glitch ?
About the forum : the answers were really interesting. It took me time but I found the perfect answers for my MC. And I already know which answers choose for my other MC. It’s really great to have possible answers so differents. I hope for our next posts or conversation on the forum we will have the same variety of choices. It was so nice !
It’s a great update for me. And such a cliffhanger… I won’t pay any ransom !
Hey guys, Mind Blind is my first every WIP that I’ve tried and I’m loving it so far! The writing is superb and I’d put it on the level of Fallen Hero
I just wanted to ask; is there a guide out there on how to romance Rosy? I’ve got to a part in the story where there’s an option to write an essay for them but its greyed out. Also, I beat the test but I did it by aggreeing to get a coffee or something for Glitch, so I’m not sure if that locks me out? I know Rosy is a slow-burn but I’m just worried that I’ve already messed it up
Any help I could get would be massively appretiated!
Writing the essay isn’t necessary for their romance but you can get some interesting dialogue with nick if do so. You are only able to to the essay if you fail in the test. I don’t believe agreeing to get coffee with locks you out of Rosy’s romance either.
Rosy is, I think, the RO that requires the most patience to romance. It seems to be very much a slow-burn. Rosy essentially has to respect you before they start to show any interest in your Button. I think the best way to put it in a more generalized way is: be confident about what you have to offer, but cockiness that is borderline harmful to yourself or others will put them off. I’ll put a slightly more detailed guide below:
Somewhat of a Rosy guide with some code stuff:
Coding-wise, Rosy has 3 stats being tracked: Rattraction (which is more how much Button is attracted to them), the general Rosy relationship, and Rintrigued. Rintrigued is how much Rosy is taking notice of Button in a romantic way. Rintriuged is a stat that is activated in Chapter 8, triggered by having over 30 general Rosy points, and at least 25 Rosy romance points.
I’ll put some examples below about when you gain points with Rosy:
If you won the assignment: laughing at their jokes when you meet them in their office after the assignment, or just being more confident/playful
Showing remorse for hurting K if that’s how you won the assignment (Rosy values confidence, but not necessarily at the cost of hurting teammates I think)
Picking more of the “logical/rational” options when Rosy accuses you of setting off the bomb. I don’t think you lose any points by being scared/anxious, but being more forthcoming in answers gains some.
General answers that indicate competence. So, for example, realizing Rosy defended you from Clarence’s accusations of theft, and putting those I Stats to work successfully.
When training with Rosy in chapter 8, show confidence and take the mission seriously. Also, don’t get overly upset about being compared to Nick in that scene. The “intrigued” stat is set to false for Rosy if you do this (I think they interpret it as you prioritizing besting Nick than taking the mission seriously).
You get the option to write the essay if you fail the assignment in chapter 2. You make Rosy proud by passing the assignment, but of course, failing also gives you more time with them (and therefore points that way too). Going on the coffee date doesn’t lock you out of Rosy’s romance. It has to remain platonic, though. Dating Glitch or Sally automatically locks you out, as they obviously won’t take your flirtations seriously if you’re in (or have been in) a relationship with the other ROs.
You’ll know you’re on the right path with Rosy romantically if they call your Button by their first name by the end of chapter 8. There should be a ‘moment of realization’ during the Rosy training scene.
I’ve played this demo an unhealthy amount of times and even though I know exactly how to pass Rosy’s test without hurting anybody, I always have Sally spray hot sauce in Kent’s eyes and refuse to apologise. He is the epitome of chaotic evil.
Opps, I didn’t mean that Kent is chaotic evil by the way, just in case that was misunderstood since I read my comment again and got a little confused myself lol.
It’s my Button who is chaotic evil. He does whatever he wants without any fear of consequences because of a superiority complex due to feeling minimised all of his life. He most especially hates Grey because Nick started to spend time with him and my Button is possessive, and he also believes that Grey stole his cookies.
