Don’t worry, I’m going to finish this game. I’ve put too much of myself into it to give up (to quote Dorian Gray heh). It won’t take me a short amount of time (I sincerely overestimated the amount of free time I’d have to write over the summer). There is testing going on under the hood.
I feel weird being the one bumping my own thread, so I haven’t written anything on here. Chapter 4 is well underway.
There are lots of emo times.
Also if anyone wants to join in the testing of chapters 1-3, please message me. I don’t feel comfortable uploading them to the forum at their current state (buggy af).

Okay, I can’t figure this one out. This got an “it is illegal to fall into an *else statement” error.
"If you have a better suggestion, I would be pleased to hear it," Em glosses over the incident.

Basically the headshot option only comes up if the player has a working gun (brokeweppies = 0).
I can’t see what’s wrong with it.
It does look as though it should work…which line gave the error?
I’ve had sequences like this with a falling-into error, and the mistake–often when the passage in question is already nested, as well–was in the section above the actual line the error gave me.
Also, does shooter>0 need to be shooter > 0 or does that matter?

FEMA has been testing for me so that’s the reason for the mysterious comments

Are you sure the error is happening in that section of code? The code looks like it should work to me too. Which line of the code is it saying is causing the error?
You are exactly who this game is written for. It’s high time a dork game was made for dorks! Originally, at the very very start of planning this game (good old April 2015), I didn’t actually intend for it to be a comedy.
About a week passed and I realised how many opportunities I would waste if I didn’t include every possible silly reference and I quickly changed Asterius’s personality to that of an extreme nerd.
@FairyGodfeather thanks for the concern, but I’ve written a workaround now. I think it was the line with *if brokeweppies = 0, but it’s all in the past now
