Admittedly I’ve only read the first part, but I’m mystified by what a “mcguffins” is? (Not sure if I missed that or it if it’s explained in a later chapter?)
I think it’s explained between the second and third story. We’ll make note of it being unclear, and see if we can do something about it
I got it during his explanation, and i very much like it integration.
The latest and possibly last public update is up now. @sashira’s part of the story and some other small things have been added to this version.
We’re specifically asking for feedback on these new additions to the game, in specific about the added romances. Spelling, grammar and other feedback are also very welcome. See the first post for more information about what kind of feedback we’re looking for exactly.
I can’t actually seem to select Cecil’s romance dialogue, also his conversation in general behaves weird compared to the others and often dumps you back out of it after asking only one question.
Will test the other stories again later.
Sorry about that! Do you mean that you’re able to ask him to go to another room, but the option to flirt remains greyed out? It shouldn’t do that unless you already met someone in another story. I’ll take a look at it, and thanks for giving it a try.
It remains greyed out, yes. His conversation also often dumps me back to the menu after only asking a single question.
How do I romance Vivian? I have tried everything
It’s a bug, my apologies. I have some time today to look into it and try to figure out where it’s coming from.
For any of the three romances, the route should be to question them; after a certain number of questions, you can invite them to talk in private; then in the other room, one of the options is a flirtatious one.
I’ll update this thread as soon as it’s working as intended. Someone also mentioned that Vivian’s intro dialogue is repeated if you talk to her twice, so I’ll look at that too.
It’s Okey thank you for looking at it
After some trial and error… there are now romance paths in the Case of the Loathed Lord! Vivian, Cecil and Wexley are romanceable.
@Babygirl, @idonotlikeusernames, have at it. I’d appreciate any feedback on what you like or don’t like about their private scenes.
Okay I can get to the romance now, but I still get this error when I try to temporarily divest Cecil of his fancy jacket: “sashira_tale line 224: Invalid indent? Expected an #option here, not *goto”
You are a dedicated and patient suitor, thank you again. I have just now played through my chapter, and you can now experience this scene’s romance in all its glory.
Details of fixes - you can now successfully: (very minor spoilers)
1. Select the option to talk to Vivian, Wexley, or Cecil in private (after asking a certain number of questions)
2. Select the option to flirt with one of them, if you are not in a relationship from another story
3. Not flirt with everyone (flirtatious options will be disabled after your first choice)
4. Choose at the end of the story if you want to keep seeing them
5. See a scene if you do (and some later.)
Uh… WTF? From Feelsmiths and swords to my bff Blanche shooting me with a blaster? I am sooo confused right now.
What I would like is another epilogue scene 5-10 years later about how the abilities we “magically” gained in our journey through those books made us better (looking), more charismatic, stronger and generally more confident people, where we maybe have finally achieved the career the mc only fantasized about in the beginning. Oh and the LI, if they’re with us and how they adjusted to our world after a couple of years would be nice to see too.
Because overarching plot Have you read more than the first (two) story (stories)? That ought to clear things up. The weird (and potentially deadly) twists are there for a reason.
Don’t know if this has been asked before, but can you be in a relationship with multiple characters at once?
From my runs I can say you’re locked into one. Though was surprised Blanche wasn’t one, usually go with Viv.
And I meant that it just seems like they wouldn’t go and pick up a random alien blaster after all that crap. Seems suspicious.
Unfortunately not. There’s not enough time passing in the story to develop that properly.
You can switch from one RO to the other, though.
Very nice game. Or really like how we get to explore different genres and meet different characters with their own personalities.
Very intriguing idea for a game.
I do have one question. Is it possible to romance the vampire ladies assistant? Forgive my bad memory with names
