Can’t be worse than Cortes, I reckon. Besides, infighting among nobles is beneficial if you want to leave the country weakened and blunted.
One possibility (though only slightly more probable), could be two tongue-in-cheek achievements in Masters of Infinity about the earlier setting:
One Step Forward, Two Steps Back: Have the ending match the lore of Shadow Regiment as close as possible.
Death of the Author: Have the ending be as different as the lore of Shadow Regiment as much as possible.
Already there are a few ways the lore could be altered:
- Lewes and/or Marcus dies at the 2nd Battle of Kharingia.
- Aleksandra or Anna is assassinated or ransomed.
- The Commission is killed or pulls through.
- And the eventual winner of the civil war
Other factors may be who gets Leoniscourt, if Tierra invades the Takaran home islands in response to the Antari-Takaran invasion, if the invasion happens at all, and if Mikhail is able to crown himself the White King. In regards to the second part, whether or not Palliser storms the Takaran embassy might be the catalyst for them to ally with Mikhail; and by the same token, snubbing the treaty and winning the civil war as the Wulframites might cause the Kian to ally with Mikail. But all that is all just speculation anyhow.
Thanks for replying @Cataphrak and for reading my ramble even if it is just a pipe dream of a fan who waited for Lords to come out for so long that he scoured the whole meta history of the Infinite Sea setting, even back when Caius was Viscount of Xen since the Salt Coast didn’t exist.
The demo was playable until the end. Does this have anything more compared to the demo?
Does anyone have a summary for what each club give you?
Also, how can I reply to topics under the subforum? I seem to be locked out from replying to or creating topics there. I’m still pretty new to using the forum.
How can we romance Marcus? I have been trying for a while but I can’t manage to do it.
Can someone tell me how to romance Lady Katarina?
Be on the Estate Path, Organize a country ball when the choice arise, invite Marcus then check on him during the festivities
This is achieved in Guns, choose options that she liked and do the SM.
I see thanks
Replaying entire series after learning of this release. Question: I always wanted to play with Fenton as my sergeant for the family connection, I know Lanzeral is optimal, but is choosing Fenton doomed for failure or can you make up for it?
Lanzerel is popular because he has no weak points, but Fenton is okay. A bit difficult because of horrible discipline but if you know how to play around it, you can make a great squadron. I always pick him and I ended Guns with over 65 in every stat, which translates to 35/30/30 in Lords, so almost the maximum.
I guess I could write an in-depth guide on him but it works the best with optimal charisma/intellect build, with an MC that preferably goes to SM so I don’t know if it will be useful to anyone.
I remember my Dragoon with focus in Intelligence doing quite well with Hernandes. I think Hernandes is tied to discipline more in comparison to, say, Lanzerel or Fenton and I don’t believe he also leads to immediate reputation loss like Lanzerel does - he smacked someone right in the face once I’ve arrived to 6a Sabres chapter with my 13% Charisma build. The Lebeufre one.
Awesome thanks, decided to give it a go
Fun fact: discipline is really not all that indispensable for Sabres. In the playthrough below, I had Fenton as my sergeant and finished the game with a grand total of 2% discipline, while winning every decoration, doing a successful death ride and getting the National Hero achievement. You will start out Guns with a pretty low discipline, but it’s still possible to raise it to 65, which should get you very good unit stats in Lords.
I did a playthrough where I ended at -20% discipline and defended the castle with Cazarosta. It still got corrected to 25% in Guns.
When will LoI get the feature to save at the end of a playthrough?
It was very disappointing to finish my first playthrough with high royal favor and finding out I wouldn’t be save my progress for import into Wars of Infinity.
CoG decided a few years ago to only turn saving on when the next title is in pre-release. More details on that and arguments for and against that choice here : Please bring back the save system on release day
Is your debt dependent on the amount of money you sent back in Guns of Infinity?
No, it is influenced by the region your MC was born and how many siblings your MC has.
Sending money does reduce the total amount of debt, but it is not really worth IMO
The Lords Congress seem to be based on the Sejm of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which historically failed. With some reforms, such as the Commonwealth tried to make with its early constitution, the new Lords Congress might become a viable democracy. Once they freed their serfs, as Russia did in response to military defeat.
