Loved this! Undoubtedly one of my favorite “Choice of Games” game. Kudos to the Author! The only thing that I still haven’t managed so far is to become Queen’s Augustine lover… Any help/hints would be most welcomed.
Would also love to see some further developments concerning the relation between Augustine and MC. I might be a bit biased, but she is one of the most (if not the most) interesting characters in this game, imho.
I got it by pretending to be on the Baron’s side and then make a list of the conspirators. Then give the list to the Queen. It’s a pity you can’t join the crusades if you’re on the privy council.
The gender stat is just there since it is only possible to play as a male.
You see that shit? I’m making moves.
Getting Ulfberth grants you a small boost in valour if I’m not mistaken. If you have a bastard son with Marguerite you can bring up the issue for your bastardborn son and later (after the hastilude) duel the Viscount for the title. The only time when you can get a position in the Privy Council is right after winning the Succession War.
What do you mean?
Talk to her after the war with Valmagne, the one where you get to capture/duel/kill King Louis. You’ll need relatively high nobility and courtesy, with 60% in both stats you should be able to get her to talk to you. Let me know if you were able to get her to talk to you. Also, there is only a 50% chance that Marguerite gets pregnant from this encounter. Have that in mind.
No, there is only one opportunity to learn Valmagne. Sadly, those girls are only there for “world building”. I had the same question when that chapter was being developed.
There is still more to experience. And, yes, the possible sequel will feature the twin sons of the 5th Earl of Aswicdale. At least that’s the plan.
I think that most, if not all, the possible brides are a couple of years younger than the main character. Hopefully @Goshman can give you a more satisfying answer. (Goshman, sorry for throwing you under the bus like this. )
Finally, someone managed to access that. Well done, Sir and/or Madam! What are your thoughts on that path? Which one did you like more?
Im not 100% sure, but I think the youngest wife (based on descriptions) is 8 years younger than you (that being Cailen, who, if i remember right, is said to be 15 when your 23. The same Cailen i will always marry no matter what. Stats be damned! The ability to marry other people be damned too!)
can anyone tell me what stat you have too have too have a bastard with marguerite befor the hastidue?
on a side note whats the stat lvl one need too get in good with the high priest? in the demo it was around 50 but when i tryed that i got the “not interested in politics” thing.
have not had the romance the qween/princess (or whatever) line yet first time i tryed that route i got exile by john! lest see if i can get it next time
when your mc is contemplating what to do before the civil war there is a fourth option where it say maybe just start chaos to further your power but is not a option.
I’ve played through this once so far, and I usually try to do a game at least twice to get a handle on the design choices. Right now I’m mostly wondering why you decided to make it a fantasy setting? If Westeros is England wearing a pair of Groucho Marx glasses, Norwall is England wearing-- I don’t know. Something English. A Chelsea jersey. One is a thin disguise, the other isn’t a disguise at all. Why not just use England?
Concerning getting a bastard son from Lady Marguerite, has anyone actually succeed in the deed? I can “talk” to her easily after the war in Valmagne, but such talk never results in a son… Is it really a 50% chance? I’m pretty sure I’m missing something here, so any help would be really appreciated
You need at least 60% (I think) court in order to marry Lady Cailen. I should know i friggen love her! (She is the only person i will EVER marry!) In fact you need 60% court to even be able to talk to her.
For the bastard with Marguerite go to this post. Read my answer to Cojuanco. To have a friendship with the priest need about 60% piety. I hope that helps.
To marry Lucia you need to be wealthy. To achieve that you need to choose the option “Why not go bigger?” when you first go back to your lands as an adult or you can duel King Lois and capture him alive to get the ransom money. Let me know how that works out for you.
I have managed to succeed in the deed . I’m pretty sure it’s a 50% chance but just in case, let’s tag @Goshman so he has no choice but to answer!
@CaballeroDeAndromeda
I assumed not when she’s not mentioned even if you married her sister(and spoke to her during your first Hastilude) but I wasn’t sure if I was missing something.
