I really can’t wait to play a tad more ethical Rodrigo Borgia. The Holy Seat will make a nice jewel in my dynasty’s crown.
Whats the fun i playing a more ethical? Borgia? You should aim to play as a clergy member more wicked than any Borgia!
I will make love to my mistress on the Holy Seat itself while I use my greatest enemy as the world’s first vibrating footstool!!!
Edit: Wow… And this coming from a good Catholic.
Good! Now you are learning! Come to the Heretical Side!
Dont worry, you will not disrespect your religion, you will disrespect the fictional one!
Heretical? No, anyone who doesn’t agree with me is the heretic!
Haha. True.
I’d love to see if we will be capable of calling crusades, then leading them as a method of inspiring troops or fighting with them.
Although I highly doubt our fighting skills will be good. Still that would make for the best ever person on the holy see.
That’d be suitably epic.
Can you Tell me more about where lady Cailen is From and more about her and her family and if we have a reletionship with her family at all
That Warhammer reference though.
Lady Cailen’s family isn’t very notable, as I seem to recall. I don’t think I did go into much depth on that in the story. Her mother would have survived the war and fled to her own family. She does not have siblings, and her father would have died on the battlefield, pretty much ending her line.
She’s also from the lands that Norwall seized in the war. A relatively tiny manorial title given to a minor knight to keep him and his family fed. Not much larger than that. A mixture of poor farms and a little patch of forest.
Speaking of the ladies that the PC can marry, to me only 3 are worth (speaking only about politics).
Marguerite: the only wife that gives you a title and Dumas is in a safe position unlikely Martora.
Bruna: her family actually helps you and if you are douche enough, your children will inherit Martora.
Abigayle: her family will help you.
All the others aren’t worth.
Even if you gain money from Lúcia and Ida’s family, they will never help you when you are in need.
Cailen can give you a little money and nothing more.
Catherine brings you nothing.
but love conquers all!.. haha… for certain people i mean, some even forfeit their status as nobles for love… but i agree that i always go for margie as the best of the best, if only that other woman didn’t marry the emperor of the holy roman empire equivalent…
Yeah, Marguerite is the perfect marriage between love and politics.
Passionate and hedonist wife on one side, politically cunning and ruthless to recover what she sees as hers on the other. And I cant forget about a nice piece of land she brings if you marry her.
And who is that other woman you are speaking about?
lady adalheidis… shes the sister or cousin of the king in the HRE equivalent that marries the eventual emperor…
She married the Varian Emperor? I didnt know that.
the one that got away… hehe… yeah she did… i noticed it because i tried courting her and the family sent a letter telling me that they appreciated my intentions but declined, so i wondered who the hell is more important than me the MC!.. well apparently that guy… and the other dukes and kings higher than me i suppose… haha…
The PC was a minor noble at the time and she was a princess, so the King didnt see anything good that would come with that marriage.
the fool that he was, not thinking that in the sequel one of their descendants would be pope/holy father… haha… kidding, but yeah, i understand that political implications of his decision, i mean count vs emperor isn’t really fair… haha… i just wish we could’ve married the queen though if we sided with her, atleast that would’ve been believable, sort of, but alas we are forced to marry by our mother before that time… tsk2x…
If we were single, then I think it would be believable. But our character married with 25 years, more than that would be a scandalous. He was already too much old to marry.
