Lords of Aswick - Out Now!

Yes. It gives the holder a seniority over other noble knights during wartime and will command the crown’s armies when the monarch does not. But most of the time, the monarch (or another member of royalty) will be at the head of the army and outrank the Lord High Constable.

So why John give it to the PC instead of giving to another person? Is it because the PC is the third most powerful noble of his supporter?

Basically, yes. In a sense. Since the MC is one of the most valorous knights who aligned with John, and he has proven a good battlefield commander, that can’t be ignored.

It gets much more complicated than that behind the scenes. As a commander of the armies, the MC still has relatively small reach into court affairs, unlike the Steward (who handles crown finances) and Justiciar (who handles dishing out crown’s justice). With Augustine and Stephen, the MC can get around that lack of reach by being close to the monarch on a personal level, but the MC and John don’t share that kind of a connection.

Out of the three women you meet after the king die’s which one is bruna?

You only meet her if you send a letter to court her.

Or if you dont send a court letter to any Lady.

Thanks you sir for the answers. I really didnt know that I could dislike John more than I already disliked him.

How do you do that (Dang 20 char)

must be in PC either thru chrome store or steam (havent tried steam yet)… it’s takes a bit of work, and be sure not to accidentally delete or overlap certain parts, else you’ll end up with an empty page like i did when i was careless… haha…

i never really tried it but does being on a “personal” level with augustine do anything if i’m LHChan already?.. oh and how do i do it?.. my canon run is with always with mr bastard son and i always stay loyal to dumas giving wifey…

What is LHChan?
There are 2 scenes if you are Augustine’s lover, besides that it changes nothing.
To become her lover, you need to join the barons but to betray them, then give their names to Augustine. A few years later she will have sex with you, even if you dont want.

oh i just abbreviated Lord High Chancellor… i’ve a mind to mod this game since i tried modding lost heir and sabres just to get my ultimate run… anyway, thanks :slightly_smiling:… forced sex with the queen, cersei is that you?.. haha…

Its only forced if you dont want it, you have 2 choices.
Its not like Cersei, because its seems Augustine fell for the PC (the only person who helped her and didnt try to manipulate her) and since she is a Queen she get what she wants (or how the PC says in the game “once the Queen started, there is no way to denying her” or something like that.

forced is still forced… haha… anyway, i get your point… too bad you can’t be king though… and with the next game has you be the brother that got sent away, my dreams of ruling a kingdom are all for naught… i hope when the author decides to go back to the feudal setting, it won’t be a constitutional monarchy or the time when people are overthrowing monarchies… haha…

Ofc, if you didnt want to have sex with her then it was forced.
If you become the Holy Father then you can rule the Holy Seat, I think it will be the most close of ruling a kingdom in this saga.
While I’m not thrilled in having a PC on the clergy, I really want to know how my lands dare after 5 generations.

@Goshman I have another few questions for you, if you dont mind:

  1. Who our heir married?

  2. Why cant we choose a marriage four our sons or second daughter? Was it to cut down the variantes for the next game?

  3. Will you make a Family Tree for the next games?

Actually inspired by @Urban
@Goshman is there a chance that if the MC sleeps with the Queen (forced or not) will one of the Queen’s children be the MC’s bastard? This the MC’s line mixing into the Royal Line. It had no effect in the current game, but since decisions you made in the current have effects in later games…

@Urban

  1. Don’t know yet.

  2. It was to cut down on scenes that would end up throwing a lot of names of similar peoples at the reader, with limited time to explain who they were.

  3. Perhaps. I will be filling in some blanks about the lineage at the very least. A family tree is not completely out of the picture.

@EmperorHeartless
Think of the hypothetical situation where a Queen - who won her rule by winning a brutal civil war - has a bastard with the lord who was a leading power behind her ascent. She then marries into a newly formed Empire to form an alliance and maintain power over newly conquered lands in Valmagne.
There is absolutely no way even the rumor could be allowed to escape the royal household. It would destabilize the alliance, it would destabilize the realm, it would show the monarchy weak. Admitting or recording admission about a bastard would be even more out of the question.

The chance of a child would be there, I suppose, as with any such affair. The likelyhood of the family to gain from a bastard in the royal household is impossible. Even in the future.
If that bastard happened to be first son of the royal couple… he would inherit the throne and the entire monarchy would end up losing all legitimacy.

Darn I figured that’d be the case, but alas one can always dream.

Dang I wanted my evil character and the queen to have a little Joffrey together.

Quite exciting to know for sure that there will be a sequel, especially since the epilogue hinted towards this. In a way it reminds me of Crusader Kings, playing through your dynasty and all.

Although I am mostly curious about these twin sons of the 5th Earl of Aswicdale… That would make them what? The MCs great great great grand children?
