Lords of Aswick - Out Now!

huh… i had 84 valour and i still lost… guess i need to just focus on training rather than asking making plans for my siblings and finding a wife… -_-

What option did you pick? You will definetly pass the stat check if you choose the option to rely solely on your skill.

oh i won vs sir samael on the first hasiltude easily by relying on my valour aka brute force with just 75… i meant i still lost to him on the 2nd hasiltude when i was around 44 years old and had 84 valour, it just said we clashed for a 2nd time and he unhorsed me, and then sir godwyne died soon after, no choice and no chance of beating sir samael at all…

Apologies , I must have confused the second hasiltude with the first one, for the second I that believe your correct in that you can’t win.

no worries… i just thought that when i read that if you can win consecutive hasiltudes, you become a legend… too bad the king had depression when his son died that’s why there was no hasiltude when i was still in my prime age… hehe… thanks for the answer though…

Then again, his depression and subsequent death gave us a chance to become major players in the realm.

Who is lady Cailen I cant seem to find her?

She’s one of the possible marriage candidates who you can meet during the feast that occurs after the capture (I dunno if thats always?) Of the enemy king.

She is friggen amazing.

I rather enjoyed this game. I’ve played through it many times. I enjoyed both the Crusader and Kingmaker path the most.

My latest playthrough is that I married Lady Marguerite, but not before I gave her a bastard son at the Victory Feast. That was rather sweet since I kept getting daughters in my last few games.I got to duel the Viscount of Dumas and won it for my son, gaining a knight to employ in my service!

Here’s my stats:

Aerae Vulgaris: 1296
Name: Sir Oswin Ewart the Cunning
Age: 64
Wealth: You are a well-off noble, the envy of many and an important friend to have in court.
Style: Earl of Aswicdale, Baron of Steminster, Protector of Dumas, Baron of Oxbridge, Baron of Darrow, Knight of Norwall (formerly Lord Steward, they always take the Privy Council title off when you’re dying, I’ve found)
Heraldry: Purpurture, semy of roses Or, a Griffin passant guardant crowned Or, wings addorsed elevated Or
Valour: 77%
Nobility: 80%
Courtesy: 67%
Piety: 71%
Humility: 89% Hubris: 11%

My son Clément may be a bastard, but he’s heir to large tracks of land. I hope they all stay in the family.

This was well-worth the money in sheer replayability. I might try marrying Lady Cailen next but on my phone. I want to import this save.

One question, though. Does earning the “Hammer of Norwall” title effect the sequel much or is it just a good achievement to earn in this game. In one of my previous playthroughs, I won that title in the melee and I felt epic doing it so even if it doesn’t have that much effect on your descendents, it was still fun to get.

@Goshman… i’m very curious about something… The Kingdom of Norwall invaded Kingsom of Valmagne while the latter was defending against infidels?.. wasn’t this considered, i don’t know, dishonorable by the other kingdoms who shared the same religion as with norwall and valmagne since norwall is effectively weakening the defense against infidels?.. wouldn’t King William be risking excommunication by the Holy Father in the Holy Seat and risking retaliation from other kingdoms since attacking someone who was excommunicated is enough of a casus belli or justified reason for war?..

nice stats, almost the same as mine but reverse the valour and nobility… hehe… might i ask how you got those extra baronies aside from dumas which i know comes from my bastard born son?..

I have similar stats except for piety which is always at 39. Might I ask how you got them so balanced.

piety increases for me was when i escorted lady catherine and dropped coins on the alms thing… then on the vigil: dont put more wood, pray the words, then claim its a sign from god that it got lit again… hey, since your here, did you also get those 3 baronies that @almostinsane had?.. i only got the protector and not those other baronies…

Ah, I see, I had always gone to the hasiltude and, despite my piety actually being a point lower for some reason, my stats were finally good enough to become the High Constable. In regards to the baronies, Oxbridge is available if if you siege Queen Augustine after the big battle, Steminster is gained by beating the king you support during a hasiltude, and I believe Dumas is gained if you do excellently in the big melee during your first hasiltude as a Earl.

so i can get oxbridge if i side with stephen… i see… but what do you mean beat the king?.. how do you do that exactly?.. i always gain dumas in my first hasiltude though by beating the viscount and only get the hammer of norwall nickname for dominating the melee…

My bad, I meant Darrow is gained through the melee, not Dumas, although I’m not positive about that since I didn’t win that battle in my last play through. For Steminster I believe it’s the first hasiltude after the big war of Succesion and, at least with Stephen, the king will offer a reward to any noble who can beat him in the jousts. Simply win and Steminster is yours.

since we always lose the joust to sir samael on the hastilude after the succesion war (they said it’s part of the story), sir godwyne dies and i escort his body out and never got to face the king… so that means that i need to not escort his body so that i can fight him?..

For Stephen at least, you fight him before you lose, as he challenges everyone still standing on the second day or whatever.

I myself have always beat him, I DID raise the guy after all XD

Thusly, it kinda makes sense I’d be able too.

so im correct in assuming that i need to ignore my close friend godwyne’s body for a chance at a new barony?.. did you also get darrow? and if so how?.. i just won the melee as hammer of norwall but no barnoy given as verand alluded it to be…

Yeah, I wasn’t entirely sure about Darrow since I didn’t get it on my last playthrough.
