Lordirish presents 2nd Annual CScomp

@prototype Too many words! No pictures! No guns!

I’ve got my scenes outlined and have a good idea where the big choices are. The challenge now will be to write tersely and not get tempted into interesting, multi-branched byways.

I think I am going to split my story up in multiple parts so I can write part 2 (maybe even part 3) in all the time of the world

We did not keep track of word count last year. I was surprised by how deep some of the games were, lenght wise.

24 days left. So how goes the writing all? Any titles yet?

I was struggling to even settle on an idea!
I think the hardest bit is picking something both interesting and worthwhile, but also realistic (in chances of completion).
As of last night I do believe I’ve locked onto an idea, but it wouldn’t at all surprise me if I decide I’m bored of it before the day’s out - here’s hoping not though.

I have a title, but it’s tentative so I’ll hold off sharing it for now :slight_smile:

I have a plot, title and things like that but I am not far with the story and with not far I mean that I only have like 10 words

I have my outline and have begun the opening scene. But now I’m trying to find time.

Oh, a title? Easy…“A Moment In Time”

Actually, that would make a great title. :slight_smile: But, 10 games of the same name will get confusing.

“Your One Moment” takes place in a remote outpost of the British Army during the Napoleonic Wars.

I have the scene outline done (although I inserted two more scenes this morning) and have written most of the setup. Have not used the inventory feature before, and I may need it, so I am playing with that in a little side project to make sure I get the sets and gets right, and especially removing from inventory things that are no longer available.

Frankly, I’m having serious trouble. I have a loose title and a setup, but the urge to write isn’t there yet. When the pressure comes down, I might fly high or crumple – can’t say for sure which it will be.

Title? “REALITY”. Thats what Ive settled for. Ive planned all the story out, its just finding the time to actually sit down and write. Right now, im stuck with weekends only to write…

wait am i seriously doing good here? i’ve done the outline and everything and 5000 words, i though everyone would have atleast 20 000 by now!

Now my danger is that I am caring about this game too much. Need to keep in mind I can always come back after the contest and make it richer.

Same. Im planning too much that can just be added afterwards >.<

@Prototype
Still on 0 words here 8->

@CJW damn guess you guys actually have a life :stuck_out_tongue:

i don’t have to worry about going to work and homework is not that much

I might be around 100 words now (including coding)

Just started an hour ago and im surprised how quickly Ive whipped out 3k. Lets see how long that lasts xD

@P0RT3R @CJW Garunteed you’ll still be finished before me. Ill have a short burst then wont write for weeks!

^^^^^ same

@BlazedStorm
@Prototype

I need to think of an idea I’m happy with first, that’s my biggest problem.
