I guess it’s back to the old ways then. Creating back up variables, it makes the game slower when loading scenes though. Cause, probably too many variables in the startup.txt file.

Can you rephrase that @Abhi_Naskar, I can’t understand what you meaning there. Like if you can maybe more specific. Politely I’m asking

I know why the game gives an error because I use the translate web page function.

I have, but my code includes *create_array and *temp_array commands. Which dashingdon does not support.

Glad you could work out a solution on your own. I hope it’s playing through now.

For those who have been following this WIP’s progress, I’m currently working on the Coronation scene.
This will unlock more features already in the game.

Cool, I thought it was marked on time, good to know it’s not that restrictive.

You must add achievements, would be better if I had something to work for. I hope you find a save system for your game, it would be hard once it get out to play it without checkpoints.

Thank you @stargazer for those, feels good to have someone to talk to on the same basis. I did not grow up speaking English, so it has it’s flaws, when it coming out of my mind. I hope you can tolerate that.

This game does really needs a save system when it is ready for publishing, but I can’t find any that works with *create_array commands. I hope someone will make it.
You have a good idea on achievements, I will not forget that part.

If I may, I might give away what I have planned for this interactive. I have divided the game into 6 parts or phases.

Part One Out
Prologue_ a small introduction into the game’s world.

Part Two Out still needs some adjustments though.
Prep for Coronation_Mc’s background and activities reading their growing kingdom for Mc’s Coronation.

Part Three Currently being worked on
The Coronation__As much as it says that’s what it is, during which time the mc get’s their first direct contact with delegates or leaders of kingdoms on the island.

Part 4 Pending
Allies and Foes_The mc’s choices has consequences. Be it good or bad. I tend to make this part a series of events just showing that :point_up:.

The is a possibility of having another part interjected here. Which will dwelve deep into the mc’s personal life. Ooo marriage is it? Mmnah, close to that though.

Part 5 Pending
The Endgame_It is during this part when a new threat would be witnessed. Something bigger than the inhabitants of Nexus Island. And everyone will be exposed to where they stand concerning the matter.

Part 6 Pending
Epilogue_ Though this might be wrapping up the game, it will be a start of a crazy idea I have, Oh that’s what fiction always, is isn’t it. I also intend the game to go on endlessly after this phase, should the mc’s choose to. New threats and isles to conquer. And then some.

I feel stupid. Is there a guide?

I couldn’t figure out what I was supposed to be doing. Then I got stuck. I tried finding a guide but wasn’t able to. Perhaps I was too incompetent to find it. :skull:

You are right you have missed it , did you got to choose the difficult of the game. It only came once when that Nexian was giving a speech at the strt of the game..
But if that is an issue , that is something @libtech_mk should add in the game. Maybe it should apoear more as a reminder.

I chose normal (because I wanted the regular resources), I assume selecting easy would have provided a guide?

Sorry I might have been confusing what you werw saying with something. By a guide you mean like a character in the story, who would interact with the MC, telling them what they need to do or what to expect.

Or do youmean a guide, just a set of sentences telling what to do, like ones you can access through an option maybe named guide.
Which is it, or rather which one is better?

I meant the 2nd; not a character, but essentially an option, which e.g., could be available in the stat interface and would inform the reader how to manage the activities and so on. (I didn’t know what I was supposed to be doing, and so it wouldn’t progress.)

Now I understand, I don’t think that is available. But I figured it out by clicking every choice available, and by seeing what each option do I knew what to do. It acrually a brilliant idea to have a guide option, if someone wants an easy playthrough. I hope @Libtech_Mk can manage it.

Though I have to say a guide will only be available in two diffuculty levels only, easy and normal.

Help me out here those who can, those who can not you know what to do. I have done a review on my prologue, added a lot of adjustments. And of course I wouldn’t miss the one who helped me in this, @Nahim_Kerman. Thank you mate. I really appreciate your work in this.

To me this scene is close to my perfect. Tell me what you think. If you Choice to of course. :smile: see what I did there.

And it’s fixed now. Find anything else, please do mention it, I can’t cover all playthroughs.

In your first post you said ‘anything that can make the game interesting’
I like to think myself as a detail critic. So be careful of what you wish for @LibtechMk, coz you might not be able to handle it.

Here is one:
In your game there is this point where the Mc is presented with details of the happenings of the month. Pardon my English, I am adept. It is during this time that they are presented with resources they have acquired during the month. I noticed an influx of resources, regardless the level I had choose to play on. Be it very hard or easy.
What’s the point of having levels if there is no difference in what happens in the Mc’s life, because of them?

My advice, make the levels effective.
For example I have chosen to play on:

  • Easy
    My monthly resources could be between 20 and 100
  • Normal
    between 5 and 50
  • Hard
    between 0 and 30

Now that is an effect. But it should not affect resources only, but other features of the game.
I know you are working on your third scene, so I will be out of your hair until you fix this one. This won’t be easy, but looking at your code, I think you can pull it off.
