Legends of Ophelius (Latest update: 6.3.2018)

UPDATE: Warrior Origin is now live for those who picked a lover instead of a ‘brother’ or ‘cousin’…

Go check it out and tell me what you think! ^^

https://dashingdon.com/play/kirstenstrange/legends-of-ophelius-i-the-cursed-ones/mygame/index.php?cb=26328

If you’d rather wait for family love though, it will most likely be done tomorrow! ^^

Important note: It will be very similar since it’s the same origin (warrior) story. Just without the romance flavor. That will be replaced with family-appropriate text.

What about the ending scene? XD

I personally loved how the ending went best…but hey, that could just be me!

____________…

Guys, please give me your opinion on the current warrior origin so i can fix it early on if ya’ll dislike it!

Take note though, i’ll be adding more content (text) in for certain choices as I go! Also, stats!

Just, your opinion on the base origins + any other chapter/prologue, would be really great and much appropriated!

NOTE: If you spot any pronunciation errors, they’re most likely caused by me forgetting to add the gender code in…or similar…apologist for that! If you spot an error of any kind, as always, if you can; - let me know!

What i meant by the stratinf scene was the whole update actually :upside_down_face:

Currently working on: Adding a ‘Besides being the strongest warrior/most dexterous rouge, you were also known for your…’ question to the Hero Creator, referring to Intelligence and Charisma.

In addition, some of the choices you’ve been able to click so far will become unavailable if you have lower iNT or CH.

NOTE: I won’t update again until making at least the 2d chapter for both playable classes. Despite the small changes i’m planning to make along with more story. It may take me a few days to get you to that point though so…

Stay tuned!

And as always, thanks for reading!

I loved how it began as sweet dream and turned to a nightmare and the interaction with my MC and her spouse im already sad that he is dead.

I’m glad you enjoyed.

And you’ll get the chance to play out the Great Challenge, and carve/find out what really happened inside the arena + with your character’s spouse/family member in chapter named “Hadwin’s Great Challenge,” or similar.

Alternately, you’ll play out the Rouge’s background in that chapter, which will then be named ‘The Forgotten Child’ or similar.

You’ll basely be opening up to one of the game/story characters. Your possible romance option most likely, if you’ll have one.

I think/hope that chapter will be just as enjoyable if not more! Though, it comes out pretty late. It’s the 7th or 8th chapter I outlined, if I’m not mistaken.

It’s one of the last, before the 1st game in the series ends.

I dont know if this has been asked before but would you consider not restricting companions to the class we choose ?

May i kindly remind/let you know there is a blur option for spoilers. It’s on your tool bar, widget icon; second on the right.

And yeah, it made me feel bitter, and instant connection with the spouse. Well written!

I just want to say that I played through as a giant rogue, and some of the lines don’t really work. For example, my character stands up and somehow the priestess is still taller than a giant??? It says she is looking down at the MC, but even on a raised dias, the priestess would should still likely be shorter. I don’t know if you are still planning to have an editor look at this but there were also some lines that felt awkward. The story though, so far, is a good solid fantasy fiction story. All in all for not being a native speaker I want to compliment your command of the English language.

It could always be the metaphorical “looking down on you”. You know, the haughty “I’m better than you and I have all the power” kind of deals.

If that’s not what was intended… Then, yes, it’s a bit of a problem.

I’ll fix those two scenes, thanks! ^^

You’re absolutely right about it not having too much sense when you pick the giant race. (Though, I did mean as ExcaliburV assumed.)

As for the writing: My native friend will fully edit the text a bit later when they have the time for it. Hopefully, the English written scenes will then sound more appropriate and overall better (more immersive). Thanks for the compliment though! I used the language the best I knew how.

@ExcaliburV Your first guess was correct, though I’ll still change it up a bit (or add to it), to avoid further confusion.

@pxpxp Only 1 companion is restricted per class. If you pick the warrior, you get Uross. If you pick the rouge, you get Titania. The reason for this is (as i once stated) they fill up the role you didn’t pick. And you can ‘use’ them to fill up the class abilities you don’t have, or to teach you something new. (EX: A rouge can teach the warrior how to pick a lock, while the warrior can teach the rouge how to forge themselves a weapon.)

Also, it adds replay value to both classes, I think. Besides the occasional personal stories, etc, you’ll also get to have a brand new companion (A new old friend).

So far there’s only 2 romances for males while females have 4. Can’t you just make them all bi?

Interest check: Should I add in a new race? Halfling?

@No_This_Is_Patrick

I will probably add these ones in as well:

*A female battle strategist. (Not gender locked)
*A male paladin - the term ‘paladin’ may change. (Not gender locked.)
*A gender-fluid wizard. (Not gender locked)

Though, take not the whole ‘wizard’ class may change, since I’m not sure how to place this person in yet.
But yeah, you’ll have a none gender locked female (another one) and a male paladin along with them.

Also, I may change one of pre-made romancable characters to not be gender locked as well. Carlos, if adding in another male will be too much of a crowed. However, as Titania has the warrior backstory where she had a wife and all that, I don’t think I can change her sexuality. Though I can change Uross’ bisexuality to simply not being gender locked. Since his sexuality is never stated in any possible way.

…instead for a bit later. He will romance someone, if you choose not to romance anyone. (Just to make the chapter named ‘Rosy Sheets’ actually romance based. He may also romance someone you didn’t pick either way (male or female, will be a bit random.)

I made an RO overview, of the current list, there’s too many variables to the possibilities mentioned.
I hope it’s understandable.

Warrior Female - 2M/1F/0NB
Rogue Female - 1M/2F/0NB
Warrior Male - 1M/1F/0NB
Rogue Male - 0M/1F/0NB
Warrior NB - 0M/1F/0NB
Rogue NB - 0M/1F/0NB

I don’t think just because she had a wife it isnt possible for her to be bi.

You can also have a past romance option with the warrior though, who can be fem, male or nonB.

**Btw, as to me being cis or trans is …‘the same thing’ (to not go into too many details) you can use your imagination weather they’re cis or trans, since it won’t be stated anywhere in the game. This goes for the romance options, as well as your PC. Random info lol!

But yes, I will 100% add at least one gender (besides the warrior’s love choice) that is not within the fem/male ‘norm’ into the story. And they will be romancable of course ^^

NOTE: Apologist if my wording caused any measure of offense. I’m a bit out of the loop, and have some reading to catch up, but am in full support of the whole LGBTetc (way too many letters! XD) community! :+1: In fact, i’m a part of it, lol.

@No_This_Is_Patrick Of course it’d be possible…it’s just not what I had planned for this fem giant…I mean it’s not ‘canon’ for her…idk how to explain this. XD It’s just how it’s cannon for the rouge Uross to be an orphan (actually…that’s cannon for all the rouges but, you get the idea XD)

You’ll get a female strategist though that won’t be gender locked. I think you’ll love her, and she is a warrior as is Titania. …but if ya’ll will really feel i’d be best to remove the gender locks…I’ll make a poll on in after introducing all of the romance options. If the poll favors the non gender lock, i’ll use my lockpicking skills to remove it!

Ok thanks also the fact that your willing to change it is cool . If it ends up staying genderlocked its alright. Also the female strategist sounds interesting and what’s her name and what’s she like?
