I was going to suggest a paladin for the other RO. Specializes in defense and healing.
But you already decided wizard so, bleep. Oh well.

Thank you for your feedback!
Iâll ask a native to be my editor. ^^
Since you were known as the greatest archer or two-weapon styled rouge; - thereâs no option for charisma in the character creator!
However, youâll be able to build up your charisma and/or inteligence in the origin story which Iâm currently working on!
Also, there will be two more characters you can romance that wonât be gender locked. One is a female battle strategist, and for the second, my initial idea was a male wizard but I think non binary or gender fluid would be great! Since all of my other romancable characters so far are either male or female, and it feels a bit unfair.
May have to even add in a third new romancable character. But iâll have to make sure it wonât âcrowdâ the story too much.
I googled âROâ but an unsure still. Did you mean the opposite army? Or your warriorâs specialization?
Paladins - or something very similar to them, with a different name - will be in the story (Probably, canât say it with a 100, since iâm still juggling this idea.). But probably wonât be pickable, because of the following (main) reasons: They would have a very different background: Like priests, they canât get married (as the warrior did) or have children. They are stationed at the keep from an early age, theyâve taken their vows, and most importantly - they were taught to follow the ways of the god to the letter. Which would mean iâd have to add in special dialoge just for them. Thatâs my current version of paladins or (similar name) anyhow.
But either way, Iâll probably avoid adding them then as playable since it messes with a lot of other stuff as well.
If you meant the opposing army by any chance thoughâŚ: Canât happen. The saintsâ (no pun) council (selective priests and priestesses) run Ophelius. Or rather, the high priestess (Mairi) does. Paladins rely somewhat on magic, itâs true, but they rely on holy magic which is mostly (if not all) defenses and enhancements. They have been (as I stated above) taught to follow their betters, and not make any troubleâŚWhy would they pray on something that is so strong, yet undyingly loyal to them? It may be a bit hypocritical of them, since they are only blaming the other magic half, but âŚthatâs life + something more reasonable which contains possible spoilers.
Hope this answers your question!
I think they meant was another potential romance option.
OH! That, I considered actually!
Damn itâŚthanks!!! <3 <3 <3
Changing the not gender-locked male to nb, would mean that gay male rogues would still have no options, and considering that there is already a not gender-locked female before adding the second one, that seems a bit unfair.
It would be nice with a nb option, though, and I understand not wanting too many characters.
Ah, I see. Hopefully, there will be room for more.
I already considered a non binary wizard, and a male paladin (paladin possibly going by another name). Not being gender locked.
Along with the female battle strategist, and Savanna is already not gender locked.
I just hope theyâll all fit in, and not make the story a mess. If I notice there are actually too few characters however, Iâll add in even more! (Though, I doubt there will be too few, unfortunately. But weâll see!)
Also, this is the first of the series. The second one âThe Old Godsâ will feature some newly introduced characters, and romance options. Now, I realize it may be a bit of a long wait until that comes out, but itâs something to consider still!
Itâs a story of war, with love flavors (for those who want them). To give you an idea of my story, you may look at Troy (2004) , my favorite movie, which somewhat inspired me for it when I first wrote Legends of Ophelius as a book, and not an RPG.
The ending Troy quote fits the characters (including your PC) very well : These names will never die.
You play a warrior/rouge whoâs on their way to becoming a legend. Theyâll have glory in war, but peace in love (if you pick so)âŚsorry, rambling!
I hope you donât get too overwhelm with too many ROs and other support characters. I may not be an author but as a reader if there are too many ROs there might be a chance that some of them might get underdeveloped, which would isolate your other readers.
Thatâs a possibility Iâll do my best to avoid.
Itâs also why Iâm not too certain I want to add too many.
Update: Continuing origin stories atm, along with adding in some cool new features, so I may not respond to you guys for a while. Thank you for commenting either way, and Iâll get to you shorty!
Since youâll be doing a series, probably introduced the characters in first book (with some characters being romanceable) , while the other romanceable ROs on second or next few books?
I donât know if if everyone appreciate a slow burn romance path though.
Most probably donât lol. Though I may add in a new one (or more) in the second book anyways.
I personally prefer the first theme NOT being romance. I prefer the main story is war, or similar, with none too explicit romance options. But thatâs just me! And a lot of people would disagree probably, which is OK.
In my RPG, romancing certain characters will be fairly obvious (and youâll even get to chose to see a sex scene (not too detailed one though), or a fade-to-back (censored sex scene which would basically just suggest they had sex, but they player wonât see any sort of details.) Or , if the character is asexual (not aromantic), or even if theyâre not (Up to you!), I already know iâll add in an option to just cuddle with them through the night. Suggesting your relationship is (at least for now) purely romantic.
Thank you
Yeah. Romance Option. You could make them asexual. Ace romances are uncommon.
I realize this. And so far, I have planned in the later chapter your own PC can be (probably?) asexual if they chose a whole night cuddle instead of sex. And the character theyâre with, will accept this, possibly meaning (for the playthrough at the very least) they asexual as wellâŚ
Though, since i already have so many (perhaps too many) romance options in mind, I probably wonât add one in, specifically stating theyâre asexual.
Iâd love to please everyone, but at the same time, I donât want to make a mess of the story.
I apologize if my response was disappointing.
Thatâs a great idea since asexuals are not aromantics and aromantics are able to choose not to romance at all in the first place.
This is going to be nonbinary-extra-inclusive.
