What…it is a good game
Yeah i won’t deny that xD
Anyway we are off-topic
If you don’t mind me voicing my opinion, then I highly recommend ‘Paradox Factor’
Which reminds me, can we get possession of the demon stone? And if we can, can we use them for our own gain?
@Centralrouge Sabres and guns of infinity are a must for any CoG fan.
Hmm, so I understand that Andus’s problem with my marrying Melissa is the support and legitimacy I gain from it. But what if I were to make it clear that I have no ambition for the throne? I’d rather just marry Melissa and let Marxus be king. I don’t want to kill Marxus, but I am #TeamMelissa, so I’m torn. HALP¡
Lies are a possibility he has probably considered. And considering who the MC’s mother is, Andus can’t be 100% sure.
But what if I kill my mother? I’m sure Andus would give me a pat on the back for that! (I hate Queen Victoria)
Well, first of all, that would most likely put you in a worse position. You killed one of your blood, what’s stopping you from killing the other?
Instead of the ‘spawn of that woman’ your are now ‘the matricidal spawn of that woman’. That would definitely be worse XD
He may grateful of what you did, but that mean king andus can do more things to mc and you be more unprotected. king andus, favor marxus afterall
Rather than be happy, he would be disgusted that you would kill your own mother.
…I’m a college student.
It certainly can be very tricky; from my own personal writing experience, it can even feel a bit odd writing a character that goes so much against your own personal views or personality.
But is simply a hurdle that can be overcome with enough time and experience with different people and cultures.
Oddly enough, playing choose-your-own-adventure stories does help quite a bit in terms of coming up with ways to create a grounded character. The really good ones that encourage a player to see what other possible reactions they can get out of a character depending can help give a person a idea of how different people react to certain situations and people.
I personally gotten into the habit of not just studying human behavior and characters from shows/games/stories, but by also acting them out. Sometimes having a moment to put myself in the characters’ shoes and imagining what is going through their heads and how they will react to something helps immensely.
It also helps to have friends who are always interested about hearing characters I create and asking really good questions that help me keep them grounded yet interesting in their behaviors and motives.
Arlan is a quick-witted young man whose strong-willed spirit has helped him retain his gentleness despite his harsh upbringing. In terms of combat, he has a good balance of of skills in both archery and magic. While he’s no master with the Blades and his Strength only takes him so far, once he has his bow in his hands and is allowed to use magic in combat, an opponent will quickly get overwhelmed by his natural aptitude for magic and and his tactical, innovative strategies (no matter the weapon is used against him).
In terms of skills outside of combat, Arlan also possesses a good deal of Charisma and Perception (my replacement for Intelligence), allowing him to not only handle social settings with eloquent ease, but to also read both a situation and people with the same eagle eyes he uses when shooting his arrows. Duke Jerome sees Arlan also as a young scholar like his and Victoria’s father due to his strongest Knowledge being History (still have mixed feelings about the Knowledge stat, but I will admit that having someone reference one of the Second Prince’s Skills/Stat was a nice touch).
@Sophia speaking of Perception, why does the Prince’s Perception not increase a good deal when he chooses listen in on the conversation between Victoria and Clarent and Victoria and Andus? I would think that learning the real truth about certain matters (or discovering certain things, like finding Kris sneaking around) would naturally increase a person’s ability to be more aware of a situation. And if our Perception is high enough, wouldn’t the Second Prince also be able to have a better grasp on what had really happened between Sophia and Melissa (like noticing something particularly odd in the expressions or seeing some clue that tells him Sophia did not get herself willingly wet)?
There also the fact that Perception is often linked to Archery, so maybe dealing with Archery could naturally increase the Second Prince’s Perception as well, much like how Strength and Blades tends to be linked together in some way.
Arlan had possessed feelings for Melissa in the past and still cares about her dearly. But the care he has for her is equal to the brotherly love he feels for Marxus and he doesn’t want to make anything awkward between them. So while he still cares for her, Arlan chooses to not make Melissa’s choice to choose her duty over him more complicated and simply wishes to (at the very least) be friends once more. Whether he will have a RO in this playthrough is up in the air at this moment, but I’m partial to the idea of him and Sophia possibly developing a romantic relationship after having established a strong bond of trust and friendship with each other first (though Sophia would have to make some type of indication that she was open to being genuinely courted by Arlan).
…our mc certainly are awfully similar except that karlos strongest knowledge is Nature, I quite glad that I not only one who prefers that kind of mc
You gotta try sabres of Infinity and guns of Infinity
I’m dying waiting for the next part lol
