Friendly reminder that my MC doesn’t represent me or my thoughts. If there’s a MC that truly reflects on who I am it’s probably Nyx. Darcy is just an emotional mess so be gentle with her y’all. And yeah, her love for her father defines who she is as a character. And that’s also why she’s so hung up on Leon. It feels good to be loved and knowing that you are wanted. But it’s terrifying that they could leave you at any moment, just like her father. Or that’s what her mother tells her

Honestly stuffed animals seems like something my mc would get into when he’s better at control magic. Just to make them come alive and attack play with everyone. Actually just toys in general at that point. He’d finally make his dream haunted house

This is left up to reader interpretation. IIRC, the only things mentioned about MC’s financial situation are that they have a car and that their family has a car and a guest bedroom (if they go on break with Kol, Sera, or Katia). As for why MC is mentioned as receiving scholarship money independent of their financial status—private colleges in the US can be over $70,000 a year. For the vast majority of families, well off or not, that is a substantial burden.
Kol and Thalia are both definitely worse off than the MC. Thalia is largely supporting herself, while Kol has three younger siblings and is a main source of income for them.
And that the mc had one, but it got destroyed in the prologue (old and new) by that Gorgon.
The mc still looks and feels poorer, since we are never allowed to bring our clothes and stuff from home. So, unless Astrid helps us help ourselves to Leon’s clothes then the mc still looks like a bum.
There the mc is, at least temporarily, probably for the duration of the entire first book a pauper in effect, if not in actuality or intention. Again because they don’t have any stuff and whatever normal bank account(s) they had in the normal world don’t seem to work in NMC.
