Okay, what’s the deal with calling little kitty-cat lemon?
Unfortunately that cuteness is also matched in his case by arrogance and he just views the mc as another notch on his belt. Maybe it would even qualify as pity sex after the new opening.
As confirmed on the blog
Hi, hello, massive leon fan-girl here. I’ve always wondered why leon asked the mc out so fast? Personally I have no problem with this (actually thought it was adorable) but i’m still curious. What caught his eye? Or did he simply wish for a superficial relationship?
MC is a shiny new object at first. They’re raised with humans, they’re attacked by a gorgon, they suddenly show up in NMC—they’re exciting, so he wants to get to know them. So the relationship starts off somewhat superficially—he really grows to care for them later.
That’s part of what’s different if MC starts dating him later in the year or during sophomore year—he already knows them pretty well by then and they start off dating less superficially.
He cares greatly for the MC later on in the game. And as confirmed in the blog — he falls in love quickly. It started off as superficial and now it’s something genuine. Which has also been confirmed in a post when another user asked how the ROs truly feel about the MC. Let me see if I can find the post.
It’s a pity the answer about Alty in that one seems to have assumed the old opening. So I wonder how that changes with the new one? Would he also just pity the mc now?
Okay I've got to see this interaction scene between little kitty-cat and Cy actually play out in an ask now.
Leon
Cyrus mocks him, and Leon never would have expected anything else, but then one day Cyrus just stares at him blankly. “…You really care for them, don’t you?”
He thinks it’s something like that—they wouldn’t have stayed together this long if their relationship were only superficial. And so he brushes off Cyrus and tells him to screw off, while quietly wondering how he’d ended up like this.
I’ll admit my mc was probably way more popular in his last couple of years of high school, so he may have seen or done or tried this from Leon’s perspective and he’s definitely not a virgin anymore (unlike my other mc) but he does not like being on the other side of such an interaction, let me tell you!
That’s less for Nim (who’d just give a nickname to Leon due to being raised as a nicknamer) and more for a MC with much more sarcasm who just wants to screw with Leo.
That underground sewer has quite a wide range of tunnels to go to the parts of the world it reached.
But Altair doesn’t seem to be the kind of person to reduce the MC into a pitiful blob of existence. Unless I’m wrong.
Two cute boys, one conversation
leon is still the cuter one imo
My MC was quite popular too, she was the golden girl of the class in terms of being booksmart. And she’s always been kind-hearted. However, she’s always been distant and oblivious to he surroundings. Getting into a relationship was something that was out of the question. And she’s very modest and prude-ish. Being abandoned by her father caused her to develop trust issues and a severe fear of abandonment. The thought of letting someone in only to lose them scared her more than anything else.
I argue that Cyrus is the best just based on the post.
Though we are kind of pitiful aren’t we? Especially the mc’s who fail most of their encounters.
We’re poor, Astrid wanted to MIB us but forgot her sunglasses. So we were kidnapped. Forced to go to a college where we discovered our specialty is a magic looked down upon. And we’re years behind everyone else. And poor. And probably have a bad family situation.
My main mc is not the kind of boy who takes at all well to being on the receiving end of either pity or being used to get little kitty-cat another notch on his belt. The first one is just his personality, the second is a bit hypocritical, yes.
Not by any malicious designs on his part, no. If his reasons have changed to pity with the new opening…well that’s definitely gonna trigger a bump in the relationship should my mc ever find out.
Cyrus is totally the cutest one in that convo. But we’ll probably never agree on that one, beauty being in the eye of the beholder and all that…
My Nephilim mc very much wasn’t the golden boy in his class. I mean he’s bright but he was also quite lazy. He was probably a B student on average because of it (another possible uncomfortable similarity to little kitty-cat, as Leon isn’t exactly diligent about his homework either).
If my mc ever tried for a scholarship in the human world it probably was an athletic one.
However with the old opening, he could definitely ace all of the magi subjects with proper motivation. Though with the new opening that motivation may be a bit more lacking now.
My mc was definitely not great at actually maintaining romantic relationships in high school.
Mainly because he was more interested in sexual ones.
Okay, this definitely does not apply to my mc. As he was always more focused on the mutual, physical pleasure that could be derived from good sex. As he likes to feel good and make the guy he’s (sleeping) with feel good too. It’s more about what came after or if they tried to complicate things with mushy talk, those parts he was and probably is not so very good at. Alty (or possibly Cy) is the first one who makes him want to genuinely try that stuff, but even so he’d have difficulty admitting it, even to himself, much like Cyrus. He reasons they aren’t really dating. Sure, they hang out, often, and sure they talk, and sure they make out—but it’s different. .
With the new opening, yes. Unfortunately. The old one had us make a much better first impression.
In the final battle in the old beta at least my mc only had to be saved by Leon because of injuries he sustained rescuing Kol the day before. So that’s at least a tiny bit of an excuse, not that it makes him feel better as we are apparently still poor and unimportant enough not to receive fast-acting magical healing for our foot and ankle.
Welcome to the new opening.
Yep. courtesy of magical families, though magical mom apparently had some scheme in mind she never got to enact due to her unforeseen death. She still conveniently “forgot” to include the mc or their father into her will though. Magical dad, of course, is a complete and utter deadbeat.
Well, from the vacation options with our human parents I get a (lower) middle-class impression. Not that it matters much since apparently, their (and the mc’s) money is worthless in the magical world or they’re not allowed to send us any because they’re not really allowed to interact with the magical world. It is mentioned in a throwaway line the magical Congress is apparently debating a bill about the rights of non-magical parents of magi, but it hasn’t quite passed and doesn’t look likely to do so any time soon, unfortunately for our mc’s.
So, yeah, in the magical world the mc is a pauper.
Up to the mc, you can have a good relationship with your human parent. Though they can’t or at least aren’t allowed to actually do anything to support us in the magical world.
As far as his magical dad goes, for my mc. Though @Fay 's mc for some reason feels differently about that deadbeat waste of space.
Same here, made the appropriate corrections.
Who isn’t in this game? Seems the magical world has that effect on people.
