I got the Kenji route when Sicchan and Misha barged into my room and started messing with my meds
Being a human being with human being emotions, I thought it was quite natural to get ticked off with them. I mean, there is such a thing as boundaries. I wanted to establish how far was too far, and thus gave them a stern talking to and threw them out of my room. Then I get a bad ending.
That’s one thing I didn’t like about the game (and choice-based games in general), you can’t put your foot down without suddenly becoming the bad guy
I didn’t particularly care when they asked about my meds.
If I could have told them what they were for I probably would have.
I never actually considered kicking them out.
(they only asked about my meds so I thought meh…)
I probably wouldn’t have minded if they asked politely and showed respect, but they just barged right in like the owned the place and didn’t ask my permission about anything. I thought that was worth getting mad about.
Those two are like that. coercive and forceful I mean.
When they barged in I just laughed.
Maybe I’m too calm and apathetic.
I only got mad once and that was on rin’s route and for very good reason.
Yea, I got mad at Rin quite a few times too, and am glad Hisao stood up for himself
Thing is, none of these are deal breakers. I would have still loved to spend more time with Sicchan and Misha, even after that. And the same with Rin, having a fight with someone doesn’t mean you hate them forever. Even the closest friends can have a huge fight and get past it in a few days, as long as neither of them are named Kenji
The mc didn’t consider those two friends yet more like good acquaintances. This happen on act 1 which takes place over a few days I think.
And ironically its only after you let them stay does it dawn on the mc that misha and shizune consider the mc a friend. So I guess after you kick them out it never dawns on your mc that “hey these two think of me as a friend”.
I actually got rin’s route on my second try without a walk-through.
It wasn’t hard as I knew the mistake I made almost immediately.
That was my fault though for being overly cautious but it was worth seeing the kenji route.
It is a damn great game. I found this out by watching a playthrough by ChilledChaos, and decided to try it out. This game made me a better person and to consider how others feel.
I was trying to date Hanako, who is the cutest ever. I made it to her route on my second try (it turned out I messed up because one time I said I was fine when I wasn’t.) I’m going to see if I can find the other routes on my own as well.
I actually like Kenji. He’s my buddy and he makes me laugh. He’s very friendly considering the paranoia he’s working through, and I like that he shares his stuff with me. Right up to the whiskey that got me killed. Then, okay, I was a little mad at him. Kenjjjjiiiiii! Was this your plan to keep me from Hanako all along?
There are some immutable facts of life that we all just have to accept. The most important of them being that Hanako is pretty much the cutest thing ever conceived.
It always surprises me how good KS is when you consider its origins and free nature.
I don’t know, I sort of bonded with Emi as my little sister. I don’t think I can date her any more. I do love her though. I think I’m going to hang out with Lilly my next playthrough, then probably Rin. Shizune is very pretty but I think her bossiness would get to me.
