This is something I will be doing for a future milestone, because NPC characters are very important in my game and without a decent development, there will be problems encountered later.

I see the value in what you say, but by having multiple projects ongoing at the same time, there is the danger that you get lost between headspaces and fail to work on either.
To combat this, I found that if I commit to working on one project until I reach a particular milestone, then switch over, I can navigate between multiple projects.
I am interested to see if everyone else approaches things differently.
I personally think that people who never ended up a story should maintain a one-story at the time. And when started to end projects than can plan 2 or 3 same times in different levels of development.
I mean you are a pro, you can handle several due you have a very productive and professional development schedule.
But so many times so many projects go wasted because authors can’t write entire stories and when just get bored they started another.
That’s a good point that you risk getting unfocused with more than one project. I find it’s overall better for my mental health to have a few on the go, especially if the subject matter is a bit heavy. But at the same time I work the most quickly and efficiently when I focus on just one at a time.
There’s no real blanket statement that universally applies, but it’s good to discuss the pros and cons.
Good day Everybody, It is a wonderful day to be creative and productive. To cheering everyone A Samurai Lore song of Cyberpunk adapted for a talented group of fans. Chipping in and Ready to write.
Don’t tease me like that @malinryden . Your game is really important for me But I am really glad that the long windy road is coming to an end for you… Still, I hope you won’t get angry with my feedback about it. Remember after all for you the most important thing has to be loyal to yourself and your vision.
Oh I am, don’t worry about that. And I am already keeping your earlier feedback in mind once I start changing the alpha to a beta, namely not forcing you to be be a wushy blushy unless you actually pick that choice…
We might not always agree, but your feedback is valuable.
You are not the only one who wants to kick Ortega’s ass, I am pleased with that. Every character needs to have the capacity to be hated and despised and be annoying, otherwise I would be doing something wrong. BUT I will stop hijacking this thread and go back to writing now. Can I finish the alpha today?
Maybe. Very much maybe, but I’m gonna try (things keeps ballooning tho, I know everyone here understands).
Some people know I closed Demon Bound and I’m staying away from posting to social media about my “new” (more like “improved”) project, but I started physically writing (like, with a pencil) and outlining a new plot that I think is going to be so much more captivating. Haven’t actually written anything, but getting plot points and details about characters has been fun! I’m glad I’m doing it different this time around
I finished the skills and customisation page mostly. Problem is when I go to project I don’t want to write. I know what I want but it just doesn’t happen and I’ll do something els instead
Sometimes part of the project is something that we don’t like to write or it is tedious (everything has parts that we don’t like as much as others. It is part of human nature.) You just have to find your drive to do what your vision requires. However, if you find that you can’t get the drive to overcome that, maybe that project is not what you really want.
Usually when that happens to me, it’s a sign that there is something wrong I just haven’t noticed, and that my subconsciousness is trying to tell me something.
Maybe try writing a scene that’s not at the start but a cool part of the story you’ll get to eventually? Sometimes that sorts things out.
