Shyranno’s correct! The way those two are linked together is all very suspect . I want to say that the reason why Fitzie knew about the location of their heirloom pearl in Chapter 2 was because of this person as well.
So when Fitzie said they were involved with former employer’s family member, does it mean it was Haze? Can we get poly relationship with Fitzie and Haze if Haze is single?
I thought that was pretty obvious that it was Haze but I didn’t think Fitzie and Haze used to be master and servant. Though it does beg the question that Fitzie has not only been attracted to Haze but also had a relationship with them and probably had an engagement destroyed. Plus, the Rev. and Haze’s mom seems to be in cahoots with one another. Also, do we know about how Haze’s mom like ?
Seeing how it’s one of the criteria needed to get Haze as a sponsor in the end, yeah. I was being coy since it’s still technically implicit in the text.
To put things in comparison, it’s like Frankincense and TH!MC vs Rory and TH!MC. Fitzie works for the Vermillion household and not directly for Haze, but still has to cater to them as a servant would. Therefore, ex-employer.
Double-checked the game’s code and the long-planned engagement Fitzie mentioned uses MC’s pronouns instead of Haze’s. This means Fitzie’s talking about another, unrelated employer. The rest is still up in the air, though; Fitzie saying that they had a “close, personal relationship” is all we knew about it right now. I would love to know if they’re exes, but I also feel that nothing about Haze and Fitzie is as simple as just that. It makes things fun to speculate about!
Just that she accused Fitzie of corrupting her child and was angry at Fitzie for daring to contact them again after Fitzie’s been sacked.
Edit:
Fitzie uses ${mc_him}
instead of ${haze_him}
when talking about how they caused the employer to break from an engagement.
And, like, I know what you mean. I left romancing Fitzie as one of my last playthrough and had always gone with Vyv or Gilberto in Chapter 3 before that. That fact caused me to just blank out for a moment as the dots connected lmao. They just dropped it really casually too.
Ooh… I get it though in my previous comment I was talking more about I never saw it coming due to me never really talking to Fitzie personally with most of my MCs. Most of the info I found about their personal life is mostly due to the forums and wiki and I should have worded my previous comment better
Isn’t Haze also gender-variable ? or am I interpreting it wrong ?
Oh… I remember when talking to Rory they did bring up how Haze used to be on the shyer side so maybe the events of Tally Ho were AFTER Fitzie was sacked and Haze was already a sneak thief . Plus, didn’t you say in a previous post that Haze isn’t the correct mental state in TH? Maybe that was the side effects of Fitzie leaving. Fitzie probably acted as Haze’s moral booster so having them gone probably affected Haze negatively then what their parents expected to happen
I have no arguments whatsoever to support this theory, but I don’t feel like Haze and Fitzie were/are that close. It doesn’t feel right to me that Fitzie could have such an emotional impact on Haze. Don’t ask me for evidence but I just don’t get that feeling from what we’ve read until now. They’re troublemakers and would enjoy a partnership of mischief, but I don’t see it going deeper than that.
Understandable but Fitzie can be Haze’s inspiration to break free of societal norms
Ooo. This is something I hadn’t consider but yeah, I can see it going this way too. Perhaps they are just kindred spirits – am I using the term right?
I hope it has been obvious that I am throwing out theories for the fun of it all. Discussions like these is how I enjoy media, and there is a lot to talk about this game.
Especially about the codes and theories (even if the theories can be outside of realm of possibility )
If you are curious, here’s where my writing time gets spent and why it takes so long to write this!
Summary
I’ve been writing a particular interaction with your vice president regarding your sponsor.
This interaction of course is a wholly different one depending on who your vice president is (4 choices) and then who your sponsor is (5 choices)–so that’s 20 different interactions, but of course you only get this activity if you are president, so there’s a whole other thing you are doing if you are not president.
Also, the interaction is different depending on whether you are in a romantic relationship with your vice president.
Also also, I wanted there to be some choices in there, naturally. So there’s different stuff you can do with your vice president behind the closed door of your office.
I always think of this as paying the bills on the major choices I put at the end of Cakes and Ale. They are coming due. If you want real choices, you have to spend real time on the consequences. But it’s been–I almost said this in the past tense even though I’m in the thick of it, still–it is fun writing it. It just goes slowly.
My curiousity has rised through the roof (and passed the chimney) due to this knowledge.
@Gower sorry for bothering you but, will any of the Tally Ho gang appear in book 2? And what would you want players to expect in the game?
That’s a good question! Aside from Rory, Haze, Firesnuff, Primrose, and Inspector Ambrose who I think we can safely call part of the Jolly Good gang now, we will see:
Carlington
Figs
Frankincense
Mopsie
Regina
Trina
Valentine
ooh…can I ask something regarding this? would the characters you listed above be limited to cameos or full-fledged roles?
I know for sure that Trina and Carlington have full scenes. I’m pretty sure Figs and Mopsie and Valentine will have fairly small roles this time around, and larger ones in Game 3. The others I’m not 100% sure yet, and probably won’t until I write them.
The cast in Game 2 is pretty big as it is, and want to be careful not to overcrowd it. Bunch of new characters showing up including a new Noble Gas, a society matron, a perky housemaid, a pair of mysterious visitors, a foreign emissary, and a finicky chef, not to mention the aforementioned Sir Pellinore.
and according to your first post shouldn’t there also be an gasp american here?
Definitely! The list above is not all inclusive. The cast is going to be very big! I can’t wait for you to meet these people.
Ooh that’s a large cast >~< . Hope you’ll have smooth sailing in writing the plot in game 2 onwards
I don’t have anything too exciting to add, but I can’t wait to see Carlington, so to speak.
Wait, hold that thought. The Haze / Fitzie discussion kinda brought this on, but–
How are servant-servant relations regarded in the Tally Ho / Jolly Good universe? Things always seemed peachy with Valentine and TH!MC, so I’m assuming it’s fine?
But isn’t Valentine an actor? so the arguement of the universe having a servant-servant relationship hasn’t been answered, yet.
