Just a quick note to let you know that Chapter Six is now written as of today!
Now I’m going to spend time debugging it and playing it over and over, but when that’s done, I’ll plunge right into Chapter Seven.
So, steady progress! Where Chapter Six was all about the sponsors, Chapter Seven is all about the friends/love interests, each of whom has an absolutely urgent mission going on all at the same time, allowing you to have the sort of evening–and the sort of personal time–that you want after your aunt and uncle have gone to sleep.
So the chapter will split into five big adventures, one for each of the main love interests, and then some resolution, followed by 2-3 possible (smaller) adventures with three other characters, if you want to get closer to Buck, Juniper, or Pilcrow, of which you can do just one if you are eligible–aka, have taken time to get to know them.
So that’s a pretty hefty chapter setup, and as I start to sketch out the code and detailed outline for it, I’ll update here. I’m hoping that Chapters 6 and 7 end up being the parts you remember most from the game.
(Chapter 6 is not that many words fewer than the whole of Tally Ho.)

Tally Ho! was slightly longer than XoR1. XoR2 Ch1 is a little more than half as long as XoR1. So I think it’s safe to say that Chapter 6 is substantially longer.
