I think we can agree that, for better or worse, Seven is never going to feel for anyone what they feel/felt for the MC. But that doesn’t mean they can’t feel something for someone else.
When I first read that scene I just thought that Seven was being Seven, and didn’t pay much attention to it. As you said they sing a song about the MC while the MC is feet away and even lock eyes with the MC, probably to see their reaction considering what the lyrics are about, and I saw the eye contact with Avina as another thing to make the MC jealous. Maybe it’s the genuine word that is throwing me off, but as I said before, in that particular scene it’s easy to believe there’s more than what meets the eye.

Hey, at least our MC doesn’t have an option to cosplay Eminem in his Kim song from Marshal Mathers album! I’d say that the ways we can bite Seven back feel pretty mild in comparison to what he did to MC, especially romanced one.

Seven’s way of thinking feels so cluttered, I wouldn’t put it past them if they resorted to making MC jealous through Avina with performances and whatnot. Although that’s super icky. 
I hope it’s a mix of genuine affection towards them + harmless pettiness directed at MC. Unhealthy coping mechanisms can only go so far.
