And yet I can’t be bitterly jealous about Avina outside of one (1) option. Seven’s an ex-boyfriend, and that’s the case for both of my MCs - no matter if it’s bitter hate or love, why do they have a tongue stuck up their arse about this affair?
I would like that, ngl. Plus it would make me look at Avina under another light, if sadly they caught feelings while trying to be a good pal.
Anything but petty rivalries and I’ll be happy.
Hmmm… Nope. But, truthfully Seven was okay in the new demo, I really had no issue with them and they’re not as prominent either., but ymmv.
I don’t really get how the length of MC and Seven’s romantic relationship in the exes route makes anything unrealistic? I mean, headcanon away of course if you want it to be longer, but Seven feels equally strongly about the falling out with MC in the ex-bff route, only those feelings are wholly platonic and not romantic. It’s not about the length of their optional love story, it’s about the length and strength of their relationship since they were twelve.
I’m saying this because I actually love the fact that the platonic friendship is given the same importance and gravity as the exes route, and Seven and MC act just as much like weirdos (affectionate) about each other on a path where them being romantically involved never even crossed their mind.
Did we read the same update?? Lmao seven was just as caustic to my mc. And tried to rub it in their face with the Avina singing scene. lmao it made me go off them a lot and more towards griffin
That’s the only scene I can think about where they rub anything in the MC’s face. For the rest of the demo, what did they do that was so bad?
Aw shit, accidentally rewrote Ivan’s save with my new girl. I’m sure he won’t mind, though.
I also agree that Seven wasn’t that bad. Even the stuff with Avina was tame, I just don’t see Seven as having too intense of a feeling for Avina. There’s genuine appreciation for their friend and maybe something a little beyond that, but truly I think Mc doesn’t really need to sweat. Definitely will be drama, but the stuff so far is…dare I say not bad coming from someone not too hype about whatever is going on. I still stick by my statement that Avina is definitely important to Seven, but Mc has an edge over them.
Too long, and didn't want to take up half the page...
I agree. Right now, it’s kinda of “ehhh, maybe” for me to RP them as friends. It seems very one-sided to me, with the MC being a friend to them and them just doing their own thing. I mean, I can’t see my MCs opening up to them about anything. At this point, they’d be far more likely to open to Orion or August (or hell, even Victoria, for all the good that would do). But not the band. They wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it, or like any of them would really care. Kinda like how when you are having a shit day and a stranger or acquaintance asks how it’s going and you say “fine” because it’s just polite interaction, not them actually giving a shit how your day is going.
True, but I’m really hoping we can find a way to get out of that “designated villain” status. Not sure how that can happen with Blake pushing it and the show making Seven the “victim” of the MC’s evil machinations and cutthroat behavior (supposedly), but there are ways it could be done, if desired.
This is where the problem is. If you show it to Orion or the band, it’s your own friends on your side and no one will believe it. If you show it to everyone, you’re just asking for your songs to be stolen, so when it happens no one will have any sympathy. “If you didn’t want it to be stolen, you shouldn’t flaunt it around to everyone, idiot!”
This is so accurate, and pretty much how I see Savina (the Shining twins in the hallway). Also true that A is painted as an angel and the MC is Satan with a microphone. Like you, I want to see Seven cry. I want to break him. And Avina for good measure.
Unfortunately, my MCs aren’t the type to try it. Bah!
You know, I never thought about that being G’s only interference. Maybe the band kept being ignored because of the high school angle (since everyone sneers at it), and G forced the issue. I mean, G told the MC not to embarrass them in the competition and to kick ass, so maybe the MC actually won on their own, and G just got them into the competition.
Given what a fuckweasel Viktor seems to be, I could see him trying to screw with G’s plan and put the MC against Blake, thinking Blake would win (and knowing if Blake didn’t win, how he’d react to it). I get the distinct impression Viktor doesn’t want to give the MC a chance in this thing, and basically wants them to fail to keep G under his thumb. I don’t think G is very happy with where he is right now, and I think it’s because of the label and Viktor.
At the very least, I think this is the case. I believe it’s worse than this, however, and Avina will be a problem–in some way or other–for a Seven-mancing MC.
Hard to keep someone at arm’s length when you snuggle in bed with them every night and can’t leave their side for five minutes during the day…
You and me both. I want other characters to suffer in this thing, instead of just the MC. Pain for ALL! Including St. Avina!! And maybe my MC won’t even notice any of it because she’s all eyes on G.
Plus, it’d be nice for Seven to hurt someone other than the MC for a change. Right now, the only person he’s toxic to is MC.
Yep, that was my feeling about it, too. Seven is such a dick, and the onstage Avina worship was pretty much the nail in the coffin for my MC looking at Seven with anything but rolled eyes and a huff from now on. Griffin has something to offer other than hatred and constant spitting on the MC. And he’s hotter, more personable, and a better singer…
I did the different route during the party and, to be honest, it really doesn’t feel like Seven genuinely cares about Avina. He’s very cold towards them, he cares about the MC that hates his bloody guts more.
Yet the “for me??” got Seven to do what Avina wanted. And Avina is clearly aware they have that power over Seven.
For me it felt like he agreed so they’d stop bugging him. But I will not accept any hint of Savina even when I’m being waterboarded by FBI to accept the text as-is.
Can those two just walk into the sunset and let my mc live in peace? Hell. Take the whole band.
Everyone’s opinion is so conflicting, I can’t wait to see just how cranky Seven was. Obviously without the sevenmancer rose tinted glasses.
Although I do think that once you start to hate a character the chances of that opinion changing are really slim, ergo why some might have stronger takes (and I mean that genuinely, no jabs are being jabbed.)
One thing I’m curious tho, if it’s okay to ask (since it’s still a private update), overall which RO did you enjoy the most this time around and why?
No, Avina better give me my boyfriend back or there’s gonna be blood in the water. He’s my problematic fave and I’m not fucking sharing.
Finished the second run, here comes the other girl. Anna is a rich lass who’s even more lonely than Ivan and uses humour, niceness and bubbly biting pop to hide the fact she’s a terribly cynical and spiteful woman who just wants to see Soft Violence crumble to the ground and her group prosper.
She’s more stable than Ivan, but only because she’s a drinker and doesn’t do cigarettes and drugs. Spite is her main motivator, she can be surprisingly biting, she has issues with risk-taking behaviour and crashed her BMW into a river once.
It’s funny how these two would probably be best friends if they ever were in the same game. Even though Anna is far more secretive and angry deep down while Ivan usually wears his heart on his sleeve and is more physically aggressive.
Also, what the fuck, Rowan. Seriously, what’s wrong with you, why do you bitch at Anna for not wanting to ride with her former boyfriend if you know she hates his guts?
btw guys im pretty sure avinas pronouns are they/them
Orion and G. I’ve never been Seven biggest fan, and there are things that still bug me, but I did feel sorry for them at times.
