Bruh, if it’d actually been 4chan Ivan would have been doxxed in three seconds max and got piles of real-life cartel gore in his DMs. This is so weenie. Artists on Twitter get cancelled and harassed far more brutally for far less.

diet 4chan

Oh my fucking go-o-o-o-o-od, these assholes only talk about Seven when Cory forces a camera into their faces. And the results? The exact fucking same as always, outside of August. Durian raccoon has more emotional maturity compared to most of MC’s band.

durian raccoon would never do this to me

Fun update it feels like a weirdly abrupt ending point to me. Its a long update but at the same time it feels like the conclusion of the challenge would have been the natural stopping point for that chapter.

The first challenge was similarly split, cutting off right before the MC’s performance.

Something something increasing tension.

I’d say it also could have worked with the reveal of shit Blake had written for us as the finale. As in, oh shit, we’re so fucked. As of now the only string I have to go on is it either being about GB beef or him writing about MC x Seven.

Yup. IIRC the episodes are going to be interleaved, with one covering preparations for the challenge and the other covering the challenge and the fallout/aftermath. In general, anyway.

I don’t know. As much as MC says Blake’s lyrics are shit everyone in gameworld seems to like them. Besides that i tend to think the MC can RHCP this abd make complete gibberish sound good

In my case Blake has written actually tolerable lyrics. The issue, apparently, is the fact MC has found something in the lyrics that seems very personal..? It’s not “i’m in a house like carpet”, but it’s probably something akin to screaming lungs out about your bitch ex…which was something my char already did on the daily basis, so what could be so bad in these?

votegate

every single vote lore reveal makes the situation less and less favourable for the band.

But, on a lighter and funnier note, my drunkard devil-may-care walking active suicide risk of an MC ended up being liked by Victor and ended up smoking weed with G and Dakota after doing his time on lyrics. That’s what we call responsibility! Do the challenge first, get shitfaced after… grumble-grumble, the band, grumble-grumble August. At least they started caring about Ivan getting drunk first thing in the morning.

Another interesting bit is the fact Lucy made Seven join the show. Just Lucy, no one else.

Someone on Patreon first pointed this out, but now that the code is publicly available I can confirm for myself that it’s true. It’s true! If Blake is writing the song for MC’s band and they have a positive relationship with MC, they ask Seven to help them write it :sob:

Awww, is Blake trying to bury the hatchet between them? That’s actually pretty cute, given how focused they are on their own beef.

Good for them, but why would 7 agree to this, seeing how Blake keeps dangling some secret of theirs over 7’s head. Unless “ask” comes with “or else”. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Anyway, I don’t get why reddit is all “:sob: poor MC”, because mine had the time of his life. I didn’t even look at the options like “OMG nooo this whole show is fake”, because duh thank you, Captain Obvious? It was in plain view basically from the prologue, so unless your MC has a memory span of a goldfish, surprised Pikachu face at yet another rigged game just paints such a MC not a very bright bulb. So, rigged game aside, we found out that our idol and mentor is on our side, got privy to some juicy details on their personal life (Dakota pulling rank was really not cool, man, not cool. You risking the block of the cock here), also flirted with their wife again, got to party where we discovered we are not even the biggest lush in our band, got access to drugs via our hookup, who probably is Viktor’s spawn or very close relative, oh and our ex is laughably not over us and wrote us a sappy love song for the challenge. Almost makes me a bit wistful for making MC flirt with Blake right in front of them…mwahahaha, who am I kidding, that was the best part. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

So fuck yeah, we’re gonna win this thing, only…it miiiiiight be not the best outcome for music-oriented MCs, seing how last year’s winner is doing some stupid podcast, G hates themselves and sort of lives vicariously through MC and that corporate shill fest with X-something drinks was thoroughly contemptible. Maybe coming second and just ride the hype without being bound with draconic contract would be better musically? Like, sure, MC gushes about how G is genuine rock visionary who made their label and not vice versa, but reading so far makes me think MC is exceptionally unreliable narrator, because this G we get to know is not Elvis, the Beatles, Freddie Mercury and David Bowie rolled into one like MC tries the reader to convince. They’re Justin Bieber. :grimacing:

Also noticed some random changes – some stats are gone (still tracked though, the game recognizes my MC as the band clown), some new ones appeared, Blake switched genres, I’m pretty sure they were metal, now they’re pop rock, I wonder why?

Prophecy about future chapters. We will be doing that face-off. Even if we write a killer song, get written a killer song and MC doesn’t get shitfaced before performance, there is new variable now that does not depend on our actions - poor boozehound August and their (yet) unknown troubles.

P.S.: A conspiracy theory. There was this interesting emphasis about the band auditioning for Heavenly Studios and getting ghosted rather than being told “No” outright. I’m betting this will surface in the future. And now I also wonder if it has something to do with G’s “how much of a bastard I am” hint in the prologue.

FLKSDHJFKLJKSDF this is so true i can’t believe u put that into words so succinctly and correctly.

edit: ALSO ur last note about the Heavenly Studios thing and G is a good thought. makes me wonder if PC and Blake have that in common, possibly? perhaps G trying to limit their competition … if they kept PC and band from getting signed to Heavenly, and did a similar thing with Blake, that is. who can say.

Is Blake always co-writing with Seven, or only when you have good relationship with them? The disliking Blake wrote me an angsty love song about summer and something else which MC didn’t want to share with the class.

Blake only asks Seven to write the song for them if you have a positive relationship with both Blake and Seven AND have a high parents stat. The negative Blake song that mentions summer didnt strike me as a love song, its basically calling MC out as clueless as to whats going on and after the summer tour ends MC will finally get it. Or well, that was my take on those lyrics lmao.

No idea, in that playthrough MC wrote for Blake and Blake wrote for 7. I have something over 40% with 7, no idea about Blake because our relationship alternates between “Hey Blake, wink wink Blake” and “I hope you explode, Blake”. So I got the scene where 7 begs Blake not to mention that mysterious someone Blake was dropping hints about in previous chapters. Which comes right after scene where 7 tells MC how they are soooooo above begging Blake :face_with_monocle:, the little hypocrite.

I didn’t get much in my case. Blake piss off club, not-over-my-ex case, wrote for SV and used the viral Siren Song for writing lyrics - you don’t get many reactions in this version, it seems. Blake only dropped a hint about not being like G or not ending like G.

I’m choosing to believe it’s because they know their lyrics are booty cheeks and they wanna write the bestest song ever for their worstie, MC

Unfortunately, though, I got the one where Blake tries to publicly humiliate MC :frowning:

Getting the positive songs also require a positive relationship with Seven, but you’re right that there may be an element of blackmail involved, I fear…

Yeah, the parent song requires a very specific set of circumstances, but if I’m reading the code right (and I might not be), Seven also helps write on the other positive-ish song you’re able to get. One is written completely by Seven, the other is co-written. You need >70 to get the parent song, >60 to get the other one. The negative ones are the default, I would guess, with the summer one being the one most people get.

Yeah I just noticed the co-written one. Good work Blake, harping on MC about cheating yet here you are doing what qualifies as cheating for the challenge lmaoo. This wont totally come back to bite them on the ass. Especially with the parent song being so obviously not Blake-like in writing. :joy:

I wish there was more stuff if you choose to write for SV. I wish Seven would write for you if you went SV - come on, I’m doing my best to court my former angel of music. Feels like interesting stuff is locked behind both Blake and Sev liking you, which isn’t particularly easy to get in earlier stages and hard to setup in late ones. Need to check Ivan.

55 Sev. Ivan being this close to flattering lyrics yet falling flat on his face feels weirdly in-character. Anyone figured out how to raise Born Star? It starts at 10, I’ve grown it to 14.
