Given how bad the lyrics of the demo apparently are, and that Blake had access to a recording of it that apparently predates the released demo, I’m thinking more along the lines of Blake being G’s Seven (or vice versa.)
And that tidbit where even Seven knew about the vote before MC? Yeah, Duckworth isn’t doing themself any favours with me. At this point it’s hard to say who I despise more, the band or Seven. And even less thrilled with Lucy now than I was before, if she pushed Seven into auditioning when Seven didn’t want to or was ambivalent to the point of not actually wanting to be bothered to try for his own sake.
And if it was because she realized MC would bother and this was some way to recover the friendship she helped her kid destroy (and if that’s why MC’s mother wants us to call Lucy so badly) that’s even shittier of her than helping Seven ice MC out and then attempting to apologise with a picture of a piece of cake in the first place.
MC really doesn’t have a single person worth a damn in their life for most of it. O’s hot and cold and putting up too much of a front, they barely know August and everyone else is worse for them than cyanide.
I just finish this Demo, and it’s soooooooooooo good. I just want to let the Author know, what an amazing work, if there is award for all the Hosted Games, you should get an award. Love it.
I think this one is up to interpretation, lol. I certainly don’t read that anywhere (I feel very much the opposite in fact), but other people have different opinions on how the various characters handled the friend/breakup between MC and Seven.

I liked that little olive branch, personally; just a gentle reminder that she was still there for MC if they wanted. I’m not sure if there’s anything Lucy could have reasonably done that would have satisfied everyone, but this is such a personal thing for us all, clearly.
Nah, it’s possibly not in game but a snippet somewhere that Lucy helped Seven ghost MC. Which…she was always going to choose her kid over someone else’s. The thing that makes it particularly awful is the half assed attempt at keeping her own relationship with the kid she’d just betrayed that she knew had no other emotional support.
I can’t fault Lucy Lawless for kicking her kid outta boat and telling them to swim. Maybe she got tired of them crying into their tub’o’ice cream while listening to MC’s band on repeat with browser history chock full of “Wot MC doin now”, maybe she just thought it’s healthier for them to go face to face with their personal monster rather than marinate alone in their misery, but in any case she was right. Lets not forget she’s a grown ass woman with difficult marriage and divorce, who had to raise her kid alone (one and a half even, as our figurative orphan MC was hanging around all the time) while wrangling her demanding job, and unlike MC’s sorry excuse for genitors, she did her job right. So yeah, Lucy earned the right to eyeroll at her kid’s horrible tragedy of “My first love didn’t work out”. I love Lucy. Here’s hoping to read more on her.
Back to the game, this chapter sometimes seemed a bit more female-coded. Like, what is “revealing swimsuit” for a dude?
And that pool scene. Dunno, maybe it’s just me who never met a young dude who would wear actual pajamas instead of whatever undies + maybe a tee if it’s chilly, and I never met a human being of any persuasion who would wear pajamas over undies.
Yeah…maybe just me again, but I don’t find speedos particularly flattering. Oh well, “unstoppable power of your imagination”, right? Nothing can stop me from headcannoning this:
If MC does strip at the pool scene with Dakota and G, text somewhat indicates that what they wear as underwear is close to swuimsuits. I think male MC wears something similar to male Blake if they choose to go revealing.
Is the scene different if Dakota, G and MC are all women? To be honest, MC strikes me as pretty male-coded, especially in this chapter with the diet 4chan. Gender-specific reactivity is only towards female G, and it’s pretty minor, MC doesn’t get much either.
Given the sexism both female G and Victoria both face and mentions it did have in previous chapters regarding that fact, it’s kind of strange female MC doesn’t get even a shred of that.
Ive noticed the strangeness of that in previous runs. Before F!O. Now with her, I keep the others M!. I havent seen latest F! changes in others. Its a switch. If they men, I dont feel anything towards them but the whackiness of, wtf was I thinking liking them when I had them F!'s. I don’t even WANT to flip em back to F!, they’re horrible mfers. At least thats what happened when I swapped them to M! anyway. I even did a F!Blake fling. I was a mess all over the place, flirting with all the gals. Oria is just too awesome to try for anyone else now. I cant even flirt with Dakota. Oria is just amazing. Yeah, she broke me. Another reason I havent done much runs now. As my only one Im interested in, may as well wait longer. Shes just too amazing to consider even a F!G at this point.
