I think it would be interesting, but I do not think Avina would ever do something like this. They’ve built a strong loyalty to Seven and have a serious savior complex. I think they’d see this as a failure on their part and try harder, while blaming anyone but themselves (Mc, Blake, competition). In reality, I do believe that Avina has been subconsciously making Seven’s mental state worse, by indulging them/dotting, even reciprocating this negative dynamic. Like rewarding the wet cat for bad behavior and reassuring them they’re fine.
Their friendship is headed towards the same fiery ending as Mc and Seven’s by the looks of things though, so maybe they’ll react a lot differently than what some people expect.
Same here. At first, I thought sharing a bus wouldn’t be so bad for my MC, but having Savina rammed down her throat is not what she needs in her life, especially since she’s going to have them shoved at her in other scenes, like the eye-fucking scene. The less she has to deal with them, the better.
My other MC, who is over it, just doesn’t want to deal with Seven at all. It pains her to have to deal with her ex being such an asshat all the time, and using his new hip attachment to try to hurt her. She just wants Savina to leave her the hell alone, at this point.
I don’t think Viktor will allow that scene to be broadcast, so I doubt Seven will ever learn about it. Viktor doesn’t want G around the MC at all, so he’s sure as hell not going to broadcast what could be taken as showing favoritism.
@Jamo, I agree with you that Avina would never walk away from Seven, and that they’d just blame any failure to help Seven as being the MC’s fault. They seem determined to paint the MC as a villain with Seven (partially Seven’s fault, but also their own fault for not bothering to consider both sides).
And, although I agree that Avina is making Seven’s mental state worse, I’m not sure we’re supposed to see it that way. Maybe I’m just taking the text and extras on Patreon wrong, but I see Avina as one of Amy’s “favorites” and that they’re supposed to be, if not perfect, more stable and a better “inflluence” on Seven than the MC ever was.
That said, I’d love to see Savina’s friendship meet the same fiery end as the MC and Seven’s friendship. I just don’t think Avina will allow that to happen–if Seven is shitty to them, they’d just apologize and kiss Seven’s ass. That seems to be how they roll, and Amy said they aren’t argumentative and don’t like fighting, so I assume they’ll do anything they can to appease Seven if Seven gets upset.
Not to let G off the hook, but i think viktor is partialy at fault for g behaviour ? You take a talented 16? year old and you throw them into a world of people that only see them as a walking dollar sign. Even their family is not any better, since they live on G money.
As for 7. I need them to yearn and regret and suffer. I need avina to make things even worst. Maybe Blake can be in the background in any scene with a sign that says “i know your secret lol”.
Just be like my mc who doesn’t take anything too seriously and will do whatever to become famous. “Oh devon ur in my shot.” “Oh make sure this corridor fight with seven captured all my best sides” “Oh Blake you just got punched in the face for saying I cheated on live tv…what a shame.”
…okay I made that last one up, but wishful thinking and all that.
My main MC figures this is where things are headed for her if she doesn’t win the competition, lol. She’s got issues and has shut down completely from who she once was. It’s some better when Seven is female, though–when Seven was her ex or even ex-friend, she had feelings for him and was all fatalistic all the time, except for when she got to sing with G. And she is detached from her friends.
My other MC is Ms. Business, and figures she can find a way to get rich off of the show, even if she loses (possibly as a songwriter). She’s too damned serious, though, and needs to make more of a scene to get attention. Her friends annoy the shit out of her because she thinks they are a bunch of unprofessional fuckups.
Blake is one of the few characters I’ve encountered that has me (as a reader) waffling, instead of feeling strongly one way or the other. I think it’s because I get him, in some respects, but I don’t enjoy characters whose main goal is to destroy my MCs!
I will definitely put a MC with him. I like the fact that he will be no-drama and more mature. It’ll be a nice change from the angst overload in the other routes.
I’m just not sure who I am going to put with him. I almost think my Ms. Business MC would go best with him–I was going to put her with Orion (with her only recently starting to feel attracted to him but being confused by it), but I think Luca may be more fun for her. And fit her better. Orion is still too angsty for her–and she has no patience, so if he plays hard to get, she’ll be done pretty quickly, lol.

I agree, but I don’t think there’s another way to look at it. Given Seven’s history of co-dependency, it makes sense to have that perception of their friendship with Avina being unhealthy or even harmful, similarly to how it’s been told to us that their previous relationship with the MC was unhealthy. Based on the available information, including the story, Patreon shorts, and general information from Amy, it appears that Seven had a one-sided co-dependent relationship with the MC, while Avina fully reciprocated, unintentionally worsening the situation. That’s just my own interpretation of the relationship between Seven and the MC. The MC doesn’t appear to be overly reliant on Seven or any other character in the story. The decision to play that way is optional.
That’s interesting. Why do you think Avina will kiss Seven’s ass? In Seven’s point of view, when Avina wanted to ease Seven’s mental distress and Seven needed space, Seven instantly gave in to Avina’s demands, putting their own wants aside out of guilt that they didn’t want Avina around them at the moment. That’s what I remember, anyway.
And I don’t think Avina will succeed at ass kissing when Seven eventually loses it. Remember, when Seven is at their worst, they see everyone as the enemy and withdraw, later claiming that it was everyone else who abandoned them. That’s exactly what happened between Seven and the band. If the friendship with MC and the band couldn’t survive a fallout with Seven, I highly doubt Avina will fare any better, especially since they aren’t as close to Seven as MC and the band were. Hell, Avina isn’t even as close to Seven as Jazzy was to Seven (Jazzy was almost just as close to Seven as MC was, for those not in the know). So Seven would likely cut ties with SV and then find someone else to support their destructive behaviors, blaming everything on Avina and SV. It’s a repeating pattern with Seven unless they decide to seek healing.
Think of this way. Mc is in canon a fantastic songwriter. If the damn botb doesnt work whats stopping them from going for that?
