Heres another obvious 1:
God of the sea - Posiedon
Personality: Sometimes he helps but can also tend to be very destructive.
Followers: Possibly Orcs/Elves? Or if you feel up to it, add sirens or something such.
God/dess#3: Good
Name: Aegis
Personality: The obviously good will personality, helping the just and punishing the wicked. Was once a high god, overthrown by the now high evil god.
Followers: Do I have to? Reeeally? Fine…followers consist of all races, mainly humans tho, believing in the Aegis’ religion/philosophies and the most devoted are placed in the Aegis Knights/Paladins.
@Nack
I don’t mind the changes, your thing man. We are just your humble servants. (bows before receding back to the wonders of the Internet)
High God (Neutral)
Name: Kaile
Personality: Very laid back, he shows very little interest in the mortal world as to him who has lived since the beginning, mortal lives are but fleeting.
Followers: He doesn’t have any followers in the traditional sense, he couldn’t care if someone believes in him or not. He is happy to let the other gods run things, yet on rare occasions he learns of someone who interests him he will summon them and grant them one wish.

For the God of time instead of his followers being able to control time, what if Chronos in his youth created an island that existed outside of time and his followers are members of a brotherhood. Of cause they leave the island to recruit other potential members. But only members of the group can remember where the island lies, if you refuse to join or stumble across the island the moment you leave you instantly forget where it was.
just notified that most of the gods are dudes lol aren’t we all sexist bastards
@Nacturnal_Stillness I agree so @Nack how about this for his followers. Sorry my Sky Idea did not provide for you.

@gnoise the ocean has the potential to be a women but I will wait for nack to say if he wants to take more from the Mythology of old.
I just noticed my earlier post I put notified instead of noticed lol stupid iPod spell check
@cool74
I guess, but I would think to create new gods since the land isn’t earth
Idea for the Evil High God.
Her name is Ravena and she is the opposite of Kaile she is very interested in mortalkind and is always trying to influence the races. She has long flowing black hair that falls to her shins.
Instead of expecting the races to follow her, she has just created her own race, the wraith created out of strands of the darkness that seeps from strands of her hair.
And thus ends the creation of the Gods…
I had an idea for a race. Its a collection of beast people ranging from all animals, including birds, fish/sharks, and bugs (if you want, personally that would scare the crap out of me)
Sorry guys my laptop had a problem and I couldn’t post comments. Ill have the final decisions for the gods tomorrow or Thursday hopefully by 5:00 PST or 8:00 EST. Since my time is PST sometimes I get confused even for my age. The next topic if you guys don’t mind I need names of the races meaning like one clan of orcs are called shield breakers something like that.
P.S Are your ideas had an impact on the god creations
Ok is it just me or isn’t it missing some races if the story has humans, elves, orcs, and gnomes it needs to also have dragons, dwarves, minotaurs, and golum and not as just monsters but as council races and golum where originally made by dwarves but over time started to make more themselves.
It will @omen but I need to get the main races down that effect the story Its going to be a really big game by the end of 2012.
I am still having problems with my laptop so I might be able to read your posts but cant respond. Hopefully Ill get it fixed by next week.
The time god Chronos worshiped by the immortal golum there ability is as long as they worship him and put his symbol a clock into there body’s they will forever be untouched by time.
@Nack Change a bit with my sky god proposal.
Name небо
Personality= Which ever way the wind blows. She constantly changes his mind and mood. She has been called crazy but in all honesty she is just multi-tasking.
Followers(You said multiple planes and such so I might want to introduce a new race here) A race of Flying creatures who relay on the wind to get them to where they need to go. While they always pray for good and fair weather they always prepare for the worse because she constantly test them.
How about for:
Humans-They are split into Castes of religion, Nobel, military, etc. Maybe 2 or 3 major human powers that each focus on their military might, being wealthy, or their chosen religion.
Elves-2 different type of elven species exist; the magic-wielding elves that act as the scholars or diplomats, rarely any jointing the military and the forest/jungle elves that act as the more physical force of the elven races.
Orcs-Counting in the millions, consisting of over 30,000 known tribes with possibly more warring elsewhere in the land, the orcs are most commonly known for their barbaric strength and frighting bravery.
List of orc clan names:
Balkan Wolves; known for their fearsome snow wolf riders that strike with quick speeds that can outrun a horse.
Bursting Sun Clan; slightly larger then your average orc, these brutes can lay waste to battalions when riled up with anger.
Can’t think of anything for gnomes…
So these are just some things I thought up of in the last hour so do whatever you want with these ideas.
@omen- If I do include golums I dont see why I couldnt make them worship Chronos however I would need to put limits on there power.
@gnoise - For humans thats a pretty good way to summarize them. Do you mean about the castes like in one major power theres one or like one power is military and another nobel. Again the elves are basically are summed up. Would they all live in one area or do you in vision one part of the race living in one area of the world and another in one part. Orcs are by far the easiest since there mostly war. Once again you summed them up . There mostly civil war with each other.
@cool74- I could apply those last minute changes.
Ill have the god list ready by the end of today , but if I encounter trouble definitely will have it ready for tomorrow .
Ok if you do add golums the limit is as I said the aren’t effected by time meaning they don’t age, rust, rot, or die of old age but can still be killed, burned, frozen, or destroyed by physical, magical, and mechanical means.
I like the idea of there being different type of Elves, they could be worked into my Earth God idea.
Though I think that any Elf should be able to use magic or fight that is a choice they make personally. But this other type of Elf are the ones ‘blessed’ by Gaia these elves are the ones taught to commune with nature and they are the ones who protect the elves and carry out her wishes when she is feeling vengeful.
As to where they could live, I see the normal elves living in villages while the blessed elves living in temples devoted to Gaia.
The God of Balance - Nero
Also known as the God of karma, God that existed with all others, and existed to keep the peace between Good and Evil. He creates heroes and villains, in order to keep the balance. He is petitioned by pilgrimming worshipers to “sponsor” them, and give them a power to best their opponents, however the challenge had never been met, and the God became lost. Nero often speaks in riddles, or in a manner that confuses those he talks to. The God of Balance is often petitioned by the two high Gods in order to keep peace, or create a person to become a champion for the Gods.
Nero, however, realized that the conflict/tension/friction between the two high Gods is irredeemable, and cannot be stopped if their current cycles of (insert word here) continues. He decides that he needs to bring himself into power; after all, he’s the God of Balance, he is perfect for the role. He decided to “loosen” the rules of his petitioning as of late, and has exploited his powers in order to create a new race – humans (or any race, really, but humans are always known in fantasy games as being “balanced”). He wants to use the current republic system to influence and create wars between them and other tribes, and weaken and vassalise the other countries, to prepare for a war which would enter the heavens, either as a distraction, or to form a coup and make himself in charge.
I think the golems should be like tanks: Amazingly powerful, resistant to many things, but without free will.
Also, the government types are important. A theocracy and a democracy would have incredible tension between the two. Also, some specific laws may cause extreme tension, such as a trade embargo, or a closed economy.
OK people let me set something straight since I haven’t yet golums and golems are similar but completely different a golem is a magical robot giving life and purpose but no soul or free will while a golum is a magical body and soul gem similar to a homunculus or false body they were made as prisons and second chances for people who were deemed to evil to let die or had a spark of good still in them if a persons of pure evils soul were put in one it would wipe all memory from the soul and make it start over as a new soul if the soul hand good still in it it was given a chance to redeem itself.
