I, the Forgotten One Release Thread (1.2)

considering how good the perk is, I’d say it’s fairly priced.

In other words a classic case of “the Empire strikes back”. Or in this case the rebellion strikes back. Not uncommon in the middle parts of series.

Played it a bit and got most of the ending achievements. And let me say, since I normally play someone fanatically loyal to her to the point she is my character’s world, Elya dying absolutely tore my heart out but that speech you give to the nobles was worth it.

You mean recruit from Lord moren, right ? And Does we have to fight in open battle ?

Yes.

No, fighting in the open battle is not required for the perk. Just recruiting three points of veterans from the war.

Wait, so is the new update out?

The one where he changed the final battle to be easier has been out for a while, after that. IDK i’ve seen the game been updated a couple times but no changelog or anything was posted so I assume it was things such as spelling.

I completed 2 playthroughs and defeated Rade once by guerrilla tactics and once decisively in the field. I wanna know will this two have any serious effects in the 2nd game because Rade certainly lost more in the open battle than in the alternative route also a decisive victory might win over some nobles who might have stayed neutral in the conflict and prevent some Rade supporters from actively supporting him. Also Rade really hyped himself up to be some Hannibal Barca type commander while he is just above average at best.

From Rade’s perspective if the Marshal plays all the cards right his campaign was a mega disaster. For more than a year of his campaign he had only death of the king Belos as his only success after that it was just chasing Marshal around and loosing every clash he had with him/her.

Although Marshal has to figure something out quickly with the canons because Rade will probably bring Nomadic throat singing horsemen from the steppes next time and the current army is no shape or form to fight a nomadic horse archer based army in an open battle.

In regards to who rade is going to try to call in to his side its not the erisians from my understanding its the steppe tribes that border rades lands and possibly jutrea of duke milons lands.

With out a map kinda hard to say how much borders what though i will say from the text in game the erisians are even further south of korid and if not why were they just a threat to the jungle province and not to say the rest of kanton?

If i recall right the raverians are south and west? Korid and erisians south and the stepped tribes are east and loston might be what west or north?

Same here with the Steam achievements, so far I’ve got twelve and all of them have “???” in the description except for the ending one.

The suggestion doesn’t take into account how half of our force is peasant levy with poor discipline and the Marshal won’t have time to organise his force into a professional fighting force except the retinue within such a short time also unlike the border war there aren’t jungles this time to hinder the cavalry and we have no mounted archers of our own to counter them. They could easily keep harrassing our own heavy cavalry who are too slow catch them while our light cavalry will only chase them to get enveloped by their heavy cavalry. Use of terrain will be important to deal with them plus a complete overhaul of the armour and shields so that it can withstand arrows from composite bows.

true but we could also use the rivers to are advantage we could also mass recruit archers and train pike and spear man with dismounted knights to hold chokepoints sine in nomadic arms are not just made up of horse archers but also infantry and light and heavy lances there is also scorched earth tactics and bribery to use and for the infantry we would just need plate on the vital parts of the body like breastplate and garget or hauberk with either tower shields or pavise

here is some examples of mongolian defeats

Why Rade have many friends in war ?What Soblik did in that moment ? why Sobik let him have that many of war friend ? =_=

We don’t really know what he really means by “Friends” his friends could very well just be specific contacts he has with people he has had business dealing with. Perhaps he was once married to someone from the east and his “Friends” are her family, who knows.

Not much one can do to limit how one interacts with others, especially on a personal level. He could theoretically tell Rade off and prohibit contact with people from other nations but that’s a huge diplomatic incident that could easily lead to a war if mishandled.

If mc romance Lada but save Dismas instead will it effect the romance points?

No, you can romance Lada just fine if you save Dismas

All of this people knew who they were fighting and what to expect from them for a long time plus ain jalut was won by Mamlukes who had their entire army as mounted troops similar to the mongols. In the game the Marshal has no idea Rade is calling for reinforcements from the east and by the time he will realise about that Rade will already be marching towards the capital and unless Kanton can call for some foreign reinforcements they have a pretty shit hand against them. Rade will have his own troops + nobles who flock to him plus Nomadic troops. Marshal so far only has his army plus nobles loyal to the crown although this heavily depends on the state of the armies at the end of game 1. Marshal who has won the battle would have much more troops than Marshal who lost the battle or drawn it and vice versa for Rade. It’s not impossible to win offcourse but it will be a struggle for sure.

Ps: Battle of Samara Bend is the worst example here because the sources are all messed and both sides claim victory and the aftermath means either the Mongols won or even if they lost it didn’t bother them at all as they continued pushing into Eastern Europe.

At the moment i can not recall the exact battle against the mongols or at least a mounted archer nomadic peoples army. With what i think a mostly polish or slavic heavy horse mounted army not to say it would be easy in any case.

Yet history is rife with many a battle that was thought to be hopeless and yet be won in to the game world duke milons lands have been stated on some level to have a horse tradition and likely some form of a warning would come from him once they realize what is happening in rades province.

I look forward though to when we get to find out lol
