As long as it is just a completely free fan-game I don’t really see the problem, most of them fly below the radar and even if made aware many companies and author’s today tend to treat them like the free publicity they are. Even the ones that don’t will probably still send a cease and desist notification to non-profits before doing anything else. And I trust we’ll know it when any of that happens.
Besides taking out the fan-fiction part of something while it can be done, fifty shades of gray started as fan fiction, is by no means as easy as you make it seem and you’d probably need to consult a professional editor with a good understanding of the vagaries of local copyright and possibly specialized legal counsel for your jurisdiction, both are expensive and therefore only worth it when indeed taking the “fifty shades of Grey” step to for profit publication.

Sorry for the silence, I share my laptop with my roommate for the moment while they wait for their new one to come in.
So I am kind of working, but majinmike gave me an idea to try out a battle-royale type game that I am going to try along with a friend of mine (who is also working on their own CoG projects!), but until we have a more concrete idea we don’t want to say anything about it
& they do have their own CoG forums account, so they may post from theirs or I might post from mine when we have something to share. We’ll decide when we get to that point.
For anyone interested in my friend/co-author, they are under the name @hexfur here on the forums. They have a lot more experience working with ChoiceScript IDE than I do, so I’m super happy their gonna work with me on this new game.

Yeah, I love Battle Royale concepts! Sounds great, escpecially as a choicescript game!
