Hey, what's that game? -- A thread for identifying ChoiceScript games

No, this thread is to help identify CoGs, HGs and WiPs that people might have forgotten over time.

This thread is the one about recommendations;

Thanks a lot bro, and I mean it being searching for it for a really long time:face_holding_back_tears::face_holding_back_tears:, and I would love if you can share more games of this sort :blush:. Thanks again

I am on a nostalgia trip rn and randomly remembered these old WIPs… All of these were played around 2016-2019… Some might have been answered already. Maybe they survived the Dropbox Purge, maybe they didn’t…

Genre: Sci-fi, action
What I remember: MC breaks out of prison with the help of a rogue robot then joins a rebellion against the robot overlords. You could choose which of your companions could go with you to your missions. One of the ROs is said robot friend. That part is the one I remember the most cuz I was CACKLING at the romance interactions between those two lol

Genre: Sci-fi, action, mystery(?)
What I remember: The writing was in 3rd person POV. Basically an astronaut saves a amnesiac “doll” from…something. And said “doll” is secretly like a terrorist sleeper agent. Basically you alternate playing as the astronaut and the doll and they have separate ROs, but you can make them romance each other iirc.
SOLVED! Empty Shell

Genre: Sci-fi, action
What I remember: MC is an intergalactic secret agent who moonlights as a bar owner as part of their investigation against this criminal. This criminal becomes either their business partner, or rival bar owner. Not sure…
SOLVED! Reports from Philomena. Shoulda read the earlier posts lol

Genre: fantasy, steampunk(?)
What I remember: It had a really long but pretty title… Like an early Fall Out Boy or Panic at the Disco song lol. The story starts at an airship, and you’re travelling to this city, and you have choices as to why, your history, background, class, whatever. Whoever your newfound friend/companion to the city is depends on your background/class, I think.

This one is newer, like 2020’s.
Genre: fantasy
What I remember: Starts out with the birth of MC, until their childhood/pre-teen years. Parents are of different religions/cultures, and may or may not have younger siblings. Dad died in a mining accident, and one of the big choices is appealing to either a nobleman or a religious leader to allow them to get the bodies from the mine or smth. Then this hunter kid helps the MC and their family with their food since it’s just the mom (who might be sick or smth?) and her kid(s). Some of the ROs introduced wwre the child of the nobleman, and the hunter kid (and I think another one?) but since they’re all children at the point of the story not much happens.

I’m surprised not one but two people still remember that old thing. It’s been ‘dead’ for… seven-ish years now?

There was a game where you played a sidekick of a superhero but you get killed when the building explodes. You get brought back later with powers and I think you got replaced with another sidekick

Here’s the old demo link
The thread still exists, but is locked from inactivity on the part of the author. This is that really old WIP that also shares the very popular name “From Ashes We Rise” though all three do have small differences between them.

Not so sure it’s Choice script (might be itch.io), but asking here is probably my best bet to find it :upside_down_face:
It was a game where MC is half dragon (can choose age ranging from 8-ish to 16 I think) raised by a commune of dragons, with a bunch of half-dragon half-siblings. The commune gets attacked, their parents murdered and MC gets taken hostage with their family. It was a relatively short demo, but it left an impression.
Thanks in advance!

It is, thank you!

I remember a choicescript, where you were in a competition. You got to choose your partner for it. It was set in a desert type country?

Hi! Im wondering if anyone knew the names of two games im looking for. They are quite old and I only remember a couple of things (also english is not my first language so I apologize for any error)

The thing I remember the most of the first one was that MC was attached to some kind of non corporeal entity I believe? I think their name was Indigo, and they were actually a hidden nb romance. I think that our MC was part of a group that wanted to investigate or explote their “ability” to win some war, and the other nb ro was the team mechanic I believe?

In the second our MC was some kind of lost heir wich they didnt know. In the day of the yearly reunion with their extended family, they get kidnapped by two characthers (who were ro’s) and taking to another “realm/world” where they told that they are now the new heir since their older brother passed away. I also remember that if you choose to roam the hallways at nigth you could meet another ro who could be romanced in a love triangle with the royal guard.

@Naps i believe the first is Ghosties?

Does anybody know a game where you play as high schooler in world where you can only join a gang or become an office worker (This was a line written in the game) there is a scene where you where getting beaten in the bathroom and your girlfriend or boyfriend help you ( i can only remember this much)?

That sounds a little bit like Emperor Syndrome found over in the adult reading section of forum threads. It may not be, though.
