Heroes of Myth — Are you a hero, a liar, or both?

To be encouraging is Charm + Idealism, yes. And the tournament option is actually Magic + Subtle - “perfect in every detail” is the intended hint there, focusing on the small things rather than the big picture.

I agree with this. Even tho we had many pages about settling things with our companions + Caron and about where we stand with the queen/king, once we choosed what the MC is actually going to do in the future it feelt like it was wrapped up a bit too quickly.

Tbh until I’ve read your post about the stat checks measuring 1 talent + 1 trait combinations, I thought the “perfect in every detail” wording might imply high insight stat, which was my MCs second strongest talent giving me more reason to go with that option.

It says we can be poly. Can anybody tell me if there are specific characters that agree to that or is it like Fallout 4 where is okay to romance everybody?

It’s specific characters that agree. Said specific characters are Alvis and Verity.

About whether using illusion to distract Evander in the battle.I failed all 3 walkthroughs. The first time I created a fleeting glimpse and Evander found out(with him already knowing my ability),the second time I chose using demonic knowledge and failed, the third time I chose encourage people and failed again :joy:.So may I ask which stats do the choices check?

“I’ll create fleeting images at the edges of Evander’s vision to distract him from the fight” is Magic + Subtle. “I’ll summon a huge false demon directly in front of Evander, then make it vanish before anyone else sees” is Magic + Showy. “I’ll let Evander be and concentrate on encouraging my allies and dodging the demons’ attacks” is Charm + Agility. “The demons are most important—I’ll try to remember everything I’ve learned about their weaknesses in battle” is Combat + Lore.

Do the first 2 choices have anything to do with whether Evander knows the truth or not?

It makes them a little harder, yes. So does getting injured earlier in the chapter.

Question: how do I end up arrested at the end of the game? I’ve been trying to get arrested during nearly every play through, as I’m trying to get the “revolving dungeon door” achievement but I have no idea how to end up arrested. Does anyone know?

You can only have a poly relationship with Alvis and Verity. Just go about the game keeping both of their relationships high, and when you talk to one of them about your relationship they’ll be an option like “I wanna be with you, but also with (blank)”.

Honestly, it might be a little too difficult to get arrested. I tried to make it fairly rare, so it wouldn’t catch people off guard, but I might have gone too far in the other direction. The most important things are to have low Heroic Reputation and a bad relationship with the person who ends up on the throne. Those are always required: the monarch can’t personally want to protect you, and your public reputation needs to be bad enough that they aren’t afraid of the consequences for arresting you. In addition to those, you need to have fulfilled one of the following conditions, which should all be things that are implied to significantly upset people throughout the game. Pretty specific requirements in the spoiler text:

  • Despina (not Evander, who doesn’t care) can arrest you if you upset her with how you handled the crown at her wedding, by giving it to Evander or Meredith or by trying to cast an illusion and failing.
  • You can get in trouble for opening the portal if Demonic Deliverer isn’t high enough for people to accept it. Evander is slightly more likely to arrest you for this than Despina, but either of them can do it.
  • Letting the truth about three years go come out (as in, having a low Masquerade stat) can also do it, as long as something else in the final battle also went wrong. Evander and Despina have different breaking points on this: Despina will only arrest you if you weren’t the one who killed Cadafel, and Evander will only arrest you if Cadafel was able to collapse Pasema. And the Heroic Reputation and monarch relationship requirements still apply.
  • For the crown and portal conditions, you’re a bit less likely to get arrested if you personally killed Cadafel, but it can still happen either way.
  • Evander won’t arrest you if you’re romancing him or in a political engagement with him, but you need a low enough relationship with him for an arrest to be possible that I doubt that would be possible anyway.
  • If you’re going to be arrested, the monarch will confront you at the start of the epilogue, and there’s a test to see if you can convince them to let you out early or not. For the purposes of the achievement, it doesn’t matter if you succeed or fail - you’ll get it either way. But succeeding will mean you eventually get back on track to the normal epilogue, and failing will mean you stay in prison longer and have a different set of scenes and endings you can see.

I really love this game!

I only wish there was save points? Sometimes I misunderstood the choice linked to my stats and ended up restarting over and over again till I picked the right one😂

I have 77 subtle and 71 magic without getting injured or him knowing the truth,I chose the first option but he still eyed me for“longer than you expected”,and his relationship dropped 13 points. Is this scripted or I failed?Sorry for so many questions

That’s the success. He knows enough about magic to notice something’s up with you and get upset even if you otherwise succeed. You get boosts to Queen Despina and Heroic Reputation, though, because no one else notices or understands what happened.

You’ve succeeded in tricking Evander if Isadora dies, or if you get the Friendly Fire achievement, though the achievement will only happen the first time you do it.

Thank for explaining

Is there anyone else who wanted to kill Letha for breaking the vow?
Unfortunately, she has plot armor.

At least she didn’t cry all the time about how we should reveal the truth like Min, Verity or Evander. That’s who I would like to be dead how annoying they behaved. At least that’s how I remembered those characters .

Doesn’t have to do with only plot armor, more like she’s getting married to the princess and has control over the kingdoms army. You would be caught and executed easily or just killed on the spot.

But, none of them took the vow. Only MC, Letha and Alvis took the vow. And even then, Verity didn’t revealed anything before she asked MC. And since others ( Min & Prince) learnt the truth themselves. So if they wanted, they could have told the world. Because they don’t owe you anything.
