Reaching the beta testing fase is a very interesting fase in each jam. Please, be kind and patient with writers, many are not used to something as important for games like testing.

Enters beta testing
Summary
In this world, it’s 2020, and a phenomenon known as ‘The Pulse’ erupted from the center of the earth, mutating an entire generation worth of people. Some mildly, some extremely. A federal division of the government simply known as ‘The Bureau’ was formed to help handle situations specifically pertaining to these mutated individuals, which society has named the ‘Gifted’.
I am one such Gifted, having the mutation of nullifying other people’s mutations. Just a few months ago I joined the Bureau, specifically the MCT (Mutation Control Team) Division. My Team Leader, ${eli} Hawks, along with members ${harp} Lance, ${kris} Alvarez, and ${sar} Ryder, have helped me settle into my new role here.
Tonight, however, is a special case. The MCT has been called in as a favor after finishing up our most recent case. A friend of ${kris}'s reached out, and the local P.D. has let the MCT take the lead on this one. A house party in the beginning of October up in Maine has turned sour. A party-goer has been reported deceased.
We just finished a job, but in this line of work, there’s always another case to solve. So here I am, approaching the residence with my team, about to find out exactly what happened on this warm, humid night.

Summary
Up in the mountains, there’s a little town that time hasn’t quite forgotten.
It doesn’t seem to remember it very well, though. There aren’t any visitors and the cars are a few decades too old, but we get along well enough anyhow. It’s best we keep to ourselves. Visitors wouldn’t last long; not with what lives in the woods.
