Actually, it is a decision by Choice of Games itself. They put all stories on the main label on Steam, but only some of the HG titles.

If the game is on steam you can back-up your save files and copy-paste them to load a game to the specific point you wanted, making multiple playthroughs much easier. Also you can edit the savefile. I was wondering if using PWA allows the same luxury.

That Iām not sure. I havenāt poke around the downloaded file itself. I would suggest asking over the thread I linked or try it yourself by getting the receipt that you already purchased on Steam and unlocked it in the CoG website. You only need to email their support.

Oh, thatās odd. I thought I read somewhere on here that COG submits the games to Steam, but Steam makes the call. I thought COG was limited in the amount of games, so if a game was too close with another, Steam wouldnāt release it. But if itās COG that makes the call, that would make more sense. They could control what gets released.
Regardless, the author still has no control over it. But thanks for the info, @hustlertwo!

Checking in to report a minor bug that I havenāt seen pointed out yet; I didnāt take a screenshot, but when I checked my stats at the end of the game, my Extroversion meter was at 105% and the Introversion was -5%. Iām guessing the code isnāt quite right and the meter should be capped out at 100% for both sides rather than keep going and making either side a negative percentage? Also, great game, I had a lot of fun playing it and Iāll be looking forward to the sequel!

@highsis Thank you for playing the game and for dropping by!!! Unfortunately, as @spunkycatninja @resuri08 @hustlertwo have all been very quick to point out, authors donāt have much control over whether the game gets released on steam. I suppose the popularity and success of a game probably makes the financial case for a steam release. Thank you so much for your support and hopefully the next game is even better!!!
@1015000 Welcome to the forums and thank you for pointing out the bug!!! Thatās probably cause your extroversion is⦠off the charts!!! hur hur. But yes itās probably because I add the values as absolutes instead of using fairmath, which I decided made late game decisions much more consequential as opposed to early game decisions. Iāll definitely take note of this moving forward! Thank you so much once again and for playing the game
I truly appreciate it!!

Heya! Itās a surprise haha. But generally, your best friend, and either Gisila or Taurus depending on what you do
hope you liked the game!
When will get a go at those sweet Roman cuties? Both of the potential non-mine masters have very cute sons.

And daughters. I hope we will get to their romances in the sequel, thatās what Iām most excited for.

It has been a while indeed - unfortunately I got caught up writing a modern civil war IF (Blood on My Hands). But I still want to get back to this eventually! It would be amazing living life as an auxiliary in one of the auxilia legions!
Work has been pretty overwhelming - moving cities soon, but writing has been a great procrastinating tool heh. Also considering shifting to other platforms which allow for more code heavy tools (any thoughts?)
@ryan_khong
Yes actually - but only if you play it right. You should be able to save at least one!! Other times they might get killed, or sacrifice themselves to save youā¦

Hey. I have a doubt If the MC fights in the colosseum why he encounters caesar. The Flavian amphiteater was built during the rule of the emperors vespasian and titus. Apart from that minor inaccuracy I really liked the novel and I am anxiously waiting for the second part.

Yeah youāre totally right - itās a huge historical inaccuracy, but I figured that it would open up a lot more avenues for gameplay and make it a much more interesting storyline so I figured it was a semi-worthy tradeoff! Glad you enjoyed the game

Iām more concerned about plot incoherence than historical inaccurancy (suspension of disbelive): at the beginning of the story you talk about Gaul and Egypt like Caesar has never been there, the sequel hook also implies that, but during the inauguration of the games Caeser talk as if heās already made his military campaigns

Maybe he took over gaul later on

The novel says caesar is consul not dictator so at that point he didnāt conquered gaul. I guess the history will take part in that conquest

@Rinnegato
Yeah as @Diegosxpointed out, caesar as a consul would be considered pre-gaul/egypt. But Iāll definitely acknowledge the historical inaccuracy of having the Colosseum come during his time. I supposed I could have just called it an arena - but then it didnāt have the same sense of grandeur
