For Hosted Games Authors: New Steam Image Sizes

Steam is changing their requirements for graphical assets as of November 2024.

This does not apply to games that are currently in production, so if you have already submitted your game to us, this is not something you need to worry about.

For the rest of you, if your game is over 150k words, please check out the new requirements for Steam assets, which I will list below. The full list of required assets for submission can be found here: Write a Hosted Game - Choice of Games LLC

Except for the Library Hero and the Library Logo, all images should include the game’s title but no other text.

For the Small Capsule and the Header Capsule/Library Header, Steam will put a banner on the image for the demo and will reject the image if that banner obscures the title, so please make sure your title is not in the upper left-hand corner.

  • Small Capsule: 462x174 PNG

  • Header Capsule/Library Header: 920x430 PNG

  • Vertical Capsule: 748x896 PNG

  • Library Capsule: 600x900 PNG

  • Main Capsule: 1232x706 PNG

  • Event Cover: 800x450 PNG

The Library Logo will be overlaid on the Library Hero. Our options for logo placement are lower left corner, lower center, or upper center, so please consider leaving space in one of those areas to help the logo stand out.
