That said, how do you think high-relationship Ortega would react if MC chose to work with HG for reasons other than “their telepathic powers made me do it?” Even if the reason was “if I resist in their lair I’m not sure I’d survive the night?” Since they (Ortega) seems to have MC pegged as HG’s lost sibling.
I think Ortega would be fine with you working with HG if you do it to spy on them and help Ortega take them down anything else will probably lead to problems .
As for Lady Argent well you do get a 20% relationship increase for ending at tense(having you face scratch up) instead of hostile(having one of your eyes taken) so who knows

I thought it’s the villain stats adding to Sidestep’s relationship status after being found out?
In my playthroughs, Argent and villain relationship stats are always higher than with Sidestep’s whether the villain and Argent are flirting or not.
I also think Argent wants Sidestep to dissuade Ortega from going against Hollow ground.
Yeah, but for me, it ended with ‘Soft’. Argent doesn’t always tear you a new one, at least not if you are romancing her.
@valianthts plz blur those spoilers. Yeah, you can confront argent about it, if its the Puppet you send to HG. She claim that HG is a necessary evil that keep the ‘Balance’…and I’m like ‘If HG looked like Aria T’loak, and had similar rules…I would agree. She doesn’t. She is going down’
I know that I got them to 20% by successfully entering their mind, and using their curiosity to let me go! As far as I remember, you need around 80% in either force or subterfuge (can’t remember which) and to not be known as a telepath so they don’t put up dampeners.
Did you use their curiosity and such against them? Maybe it’s also some sort of check, like how you walk into the meeting? (I walked in with confidence!)
I am replaying book one and the line about Ortega being straight is way too funny after doing the gay romance for so many lines. And I now need someone to make the Gay or European video of this. It would be hilarious.
How does step become Ortega’s ex? In my playthrough, of book 1 their relationship is complicated, mid-book 2 is open attraction and ends with them becoming lovers.
I romanced Argent and, my heart, I thought Herald was perfect, now they’re pretty much tied for second (heart still belongs to Ortega XD) but wow, the revelation of her condition, how well she actually gets Sidestep.
And lord my heart hurt, since in this playthrough I broke up with Ortega, because I couldn’t resist romancing her in the first book, and I ended up with the Monster achievement, where she ended up believing I was just a copy sent to hurt her, that hurt my heart worse than anything else, now I just need to romance Steel and I’ll have romanced everybody!
I’m so hyped after my last playthrough for Revelations. My puppet and Mortum were having conversations about enhancements: on one occasion she said she could make you a mod if she had help from a surgeon, and in another she said that there was a way to make your precog powers stronger - which is implied to be the same method the main characters telepathy improved
Argent is really so cool if you get to know her. Sidestep’s really underestimating her in the fights indeed. I love her friends, too. Maybe the special directive’s really a threat, but with Argent, I feel so secure enough to face the farm head on. I think teaming up with Argent, Sidestep can boost their chances of hiding the regene status after using the regenerator.
Plus, she also broke me out of hosp even after the monster achievement.
