My main Step admitted he was still a telepath, thought it would blow up in his face later if he lied about it, but so far nobody knows the villain is a telepath, as intended, except maybe Ortega who suspects him of being the villain. My second Step is a known telepath in both personas though, didn’t really bother hiding it.
The hidden route is pretty cool, just didn’t fit those two.

I haven’t decided yet. On the one hand, I enjoy the hidden telepath route, on the other hand I can get my telepathy stats higher only by not hiding being a telepath and I like high telepathy stats, on the third hand I can just have multiple Sidesteps.

Yup! I understand that he admires MC, sees them as a hero and has a crush on them… But come on! 
It’s wise to be at least a little careful around person with that ability
Especially since this person has been through some shit and he doesn’t know how much traumatized and unstable they are…

Same! Exploring that route sounds like fun, but at the same time I want to build my Step a certain way, so… yes, Ortega, I’m still my old self only perhaps more unhinged than you think tehees and goes on a self-destructive crusade

Since I like having a high subterfuge stat to the point where Malin keeps implying that is going to bit my Step in the back eventually, my Step is a know telepath both as a civilian and as a villain

My main Sidestep preferred to admit straight away that she is still a telepath, she felt that lying about that would become a lot of trouble in the long run (and also because she kind of misses her hero days).
As for her villain persona, she keeps her telepathy a secret and will only use it when she has no other choice, or when she feels like she can get away with it without being discovered, mostly because she wants to keep it as an Ace (heh) in the hole, and deep down she is afraid that the farm will discover her.

That is a very interesting perspective.
For me the need to stay secretive about it is because I want my sidestep to stay off the farm’s radar as much as possible. (this sidestep is a thief and hides the villain’s telepath ability)
But lately I have been reeeeaaally curious about the mob boss. And am thinking… What you are saying would be very fitting for a mob boss sidestep… Perhaps… Perhaps I will be able to, for once, not make the same kind of choices and do this…!

Yeah, I actually have a step for a. “the farm knows for sure” which is a mob boss 
.
My main is always waaay to cautious about anything and anyone (at least that’s what she thinks).
I am looking so forward to the farms interference and hope it will be a rude awakening for characters like Herald and maybe even Ortega. I am willing to sacrifice that step for the angst

I hide telepathy, because I want it to be ace in the hole for my Villain. Something he could use by surprise when needed.

My secretive all the way Step is lowkey funny after reading the latest replies, because I want him to stay out of the Farm’s attention (working so far), but at the same time my favorite path is the mob boss one and I do like the option to fully trust them (more so when I got that bit of dialogue where Steel finds out and you can pick the option that goes something like “maybe I wanted a team again.”)
So my stupid son is somehow keeping it all a secret while also taking the massive risk of trusting another group of people (which could either end in heartbreaking betrayal or some heartwarming if tragic surprises), so basically I’m a clown

Same can’t wait for their reactions. Steel thinks he’s game but he’s not when we tried to explain how dangerous they are. Ortega could go either way depending on relationship and if we get caught. Fanboy is about to meet sharks. Argent could probably hold her own but she isn’t a team player which will be her downfall. So drama will probably unfold in book 3 since the farm has been idle all this time apart on one ending in this book when they sending their team to collect step from the rangers and step has been evil killing people and stuff
