Maybe if puppet and Ortega friendship is high? Or if puppet was invited as Ortega’s date?
I replaying the first game til I can get the second and I really want Anathema as my villain but I can’t remember how to get it does anyone know?
You have to have over 50 daring when you introduce yourself at the gala
Um I don’t know how to ask this but could I have everybody as love interest? It kinda hard to focus just one or two people. I want all of them.
I’ve been replaying this game trying to get a “perfect” save to import into Retribution, but I’m having trouble reaching all my goals. The main things that are causing issues are these three:
-
I want a clean victory over the Rangers at the gala.
-
I want to beat Argent in the sewers and take a sample of her hair to study.
-
I want to avoid the Rangers finding out my villain identity is a telepath.
I’ve been trying for a while but I can’t figure it out, I feel I’m always forced to give up goal 2 or 3. I can get each goal separately no problem, but whenever I have the right setup for goal #1 then in the sewers I fight Argent to a standstill and I’m always forced to mentally disable her if I have the telepathy upgrade (fails goal 3) or slush her down the sewer if I don’t have it (fails goal 2). And when I have the right setup for goal 2 and 3, Ortega always ends up damaging the nanovore container so I fail goal 1.
Is there any specific combination of choices/stats I might have missed that lets me achieve all three goals in one playthrough without cheating, or is it just impossible?
Strength and telepathy enhancements are the answer here. The telepathy enhancements help keep the nanovores under your control when Ortega damages the container, and the strength lets you achieve decisive victories over Argent and take her hair. Keep your daring above 70 (I think) and you should be good.
Can anyone explain the pros and cons of choosing Fighter or Tactician?
I know technology allows you to build a device later on, and streetwise is knowing the under ground but the two above kinda confused me a bit.
Keep your daring above 70 and be a fighter.
Right, good catch.
Strength and Telepathy for armor is the only way to get all that.
Because you NEED to have 71+daring AND be a fighter WITH either Str or Spd to beat Argent and you then need the Str enhancement to get the sample.
And if you have 71+ daring, then you WILL fail the check during Ortega’s fight, which you can only succeed if you have between 60-65 caution/daring if I’m not mistaken, but the telepathy enhancement negates the consequences of that check.
So you should get daring specifically to 65…then push advantage…then try to finish this(daring to 68)…then after dealing with a downed ortega later, in the sewer have ortega relationship<70 and pick fight them for real(daring to 71)
I don’t think this actually works. I just did everything as you said, but at the hospital scene Ortega still tells me that she knows the villain was a telepath.
I accomplished all three in a playthrough. Below is a screenshot of my MC’s relevant stats at the start of Retribution (so note that stats may have changed slightly from post-gala decisions).

Not Pictured: streetwise, fighter
Here’s my choices:
-Earlier when asked who you hate the most pick Argent.
-When entering Museum use your abilities to make people flee. Making them do other stuff reveals telepathy.
Herald:
-He’s a hero, I’m not
-Knock out quickly
Ortega:
-Rely on strength
-Press advantage
-Use ace in hole (This may give Ortega a clue as to your villain’s identity, but still possible to finish the next game without them or anyone else figuring it out).
Argent:
-Studied
(Once in sewers)
-Ambush
-See if I can fight her
-Silent, focus on fight
-Focus on mind, not claws
-Drag up walkway and take trophy
This gets In the Name of Science and Can’t Touch This as achievements, plus a couple others. Further, you can see from my screenshot that the villain is not a known telepath.
Hope this helps!
Ah, that makes sense. I was telling the civilians to gather the loot for me instead of just scaring them away. I got it now. Thanks.
I am having the same problem as Playan_the_Gaems and will definitely follow all your tips! So thanks from me too!
On a different note: is it possible to win from Argent in the sewers and also have her take the cape as her trophy?
This is the thread for the first book, friend.
Oh shit . My bad.
dude. What are you doing blabbering spoilers from book 2 in the thread of Book 1? And blurr those damn spoilers!
I think mc is Re-Gene because that’s the key issue in the story. Human. Artificially created. But human.
Bruh, I thought this was the latest one, I clicked the first one shown from the homepage. Sorry 'bout that. I’ll further blur and move in the next thread.
Might help if someone can label the threads BOOK 1 and BOOK 2, like with Wayhaven, to avoid further confusion.
