I don’t think potentially being a clone excuses any of the shit we might pull in this game. Mass murder, telepathic tampering, crippling Herald, etc. are all choices a given MC may make that is in no way excused by their origin.

In this universe yes.
In a universe with telepaths who can possess you, convince you to commit suicide, convince you to hurt those you love and leave traps in your mind making you like this and that, yes.
Being a Clone of someone who did crap like that couldn’t the telepathy influence that?
The powers in the games are explained by scientific mutation but seems magical in nature, like how could someone transfer their conscious to another without any external manipulation of the brain.
It was still your choice though.
Like in the museum scene, all you had to do was to make the people flee but you still choose to kill them anyway.
You don’t even really benefit from killing them, since your goal was to face the heroes and become popular in the media and not killing random people.
And Telepathy as reading thoughts could be theoretically possible in real life (with the appropriate devices) but the possessing/transferring conscious part does seem pretty magical.

Oh the old hard vs soft scifi argument. I don’t mind that the powers are basically magic. Some of my favorite scifi is powered by handwavium.

I would be happy if MC can go down the redeemed villain route and become a hero once again, or a pacifist villian sounds good too

As the title for the second book is tentatively named Fallen Hero Redemption, I suspect that is the plan. @malinryden was surprised by the number of people who weren’t interested in that. I think it was always her plan for us to be redeemed.
My wish list in a nutshell
1.Get the wolf squad to serve under me since every great villain needs a its goons and I loved using them during the agent fight
2.More fighting with argent since I really enjoy the fight with her and I enjoy her personality
3.I would love the idea to have my villain to be interview by the reporter(forgot her name) and during the interview I would love the option to push the city against the rangers like when you push the police chief in questioning there authority.
Well, that’s great news to me. I have no interest in all these maniacal plots everyone else seems excited for.

You and me both, a evil villain simulator sounds incredibly bland as a visual novel since no character growth, might work well for a video game though

The second book is Fallen Hero: Retribution, not Redemption, with the third one being Fallen Hero: Revolution. At least according to the tumblr

Guess I misremembered the name, but @malinryden definitely made the comment about being a little surprised how few people were interested in turning away from the life of a villain. So my thinking is that is definitely the way she plans for the story to go.

Also we have mentioned here that most people think influencing Argent towards friendship would not be the best path to romance, but would Nemesis or Looking into the Abyss be the better option.

The ones who get boosted, by shooting up who knows what, arent quite human anymore either, right? I mean there have to be some drastic genetic changes. I feel like changes in physical appearance should be seen in all of them.

Definitely. Whatever it was that happened to the MC during heartbreak must have twisted heir psyche. Also we dont know what happened after the MC was abducted. Who, for how long, why, what were they subjected to, its all still a fog. But something did come back with you.
