Maybe you could implement the choice of choosing our hair color?
And if you could add the eye and hair color in the ‘personal information’ part of the Stats page,that would be nice.Maybe also throw in that body description you give yourself early on in the 2nd chapter.

In answer to your questions: Yes, the style will be similar. A fresh mystery to solve but following similar gameplay ideas. Maybe one or two returning characters depending on your Evertree ending but mostly a whole new place to explore. (And the level of sexy will be up to the reader ;)). As for your family member… you’ll have to wait and see.
@AAO Those are some cool suggestions. I did have both in mind at one point or another but for various reasons they didn’t make the final cut. That said, if it’s something that people want then I’ll make sure it’s there in the sequel! That Stat Screen has to be restructured anyway and a quick hair colour choice early on should be easy enough Cool suggestion! Thank you!
Although actually, would people prefer hair colour? Or Hair style? I can see more reasons to reference things like hair length and cut in the narrative. Just a thought

@ThomB That’s a tough choice… hair color is practically a tradition in games that allow a more in-depth character customization, hairstyles, on the other hand, are just as interesting but less common. I believe one of the major reasons for that is the fact its so seldomly mentioned throughout the story to justify its implementation. Of course one could argue the same about hair color but I figure its less so than the other.
I’d love to have both if at all possible but if you only wish to implement one the other can always be filled with our imagination. Personally, I’d go with hair color as its the safest bet and also because some people tend to have some really fancy ideas for hairstyles that aren’t commonly available, so having no choice is better than choosing one that doesn’t fit.

Why not both?
You could have some premade choices of hair colors and styles,and then the custom choice for both of them.
But I guess it’s up to you at the end of the day.
While hair color would definitely be a nice little addition to the body type choice, I feel like including hair style is a little too in-depth, and can potentially restrict someone’s view of their MC. I mean, it is a fantasy, and not everyone has generic characters for such an open and imaginative setting.

Thanks for the suggestions! Just as a heads up, Evertree is not going to be receiving any amendments now as it is out for copy edit with Steam. So although I do appreciate feedback, it won’t have any effect on the final version of the game. Thank you to everyone for all your ideas. You’ve really helped to make Evertree the best it can be!

Wow, CoG got profissional copyediting for this game, they must have a lot of confidence in this game.
Or perhaps they realize the need to reverse the current trend of game quality.
Very few Hosted Games have professional copyediting payed by CoG, they only do those for the games who will be launched on Steam, like Guns of Infinity.
I hope this one gets on Steam 
or else I won’t be able to play it since I’m apparently a digital dinosaur who prefers playing computer games on his desktop.

Ever heard of BlueStacks? Its a free android emulator for desktop PCs, I’ve been using it myself for several months now and far I have little reason to complain. I also have a samsung tablet that I occasionaly bring with me when I go out but, honestly, nothing beats the comfort of a regular PC… not to mention it doesn’t struggle or lag like my tablet does with certain apps. The only downside I’m aware of are those games that require both hands to work… those are a little tricky in BS.
Nevertheless, you should check it out.
I have a laptop and one of those silly “smart” phone doohickeys. The laptop is strictly for work, no games (well besides chess) or gay stuff there. The phone is also mostly for work though on a particularly long and boring commute I use it for these forums on occasion, though I vastly prefer my computer for that as well.
It’s a shame this game is not being released this year.
I read this a while back, when I was lurking and didn’t have an account, and I loved it! Can’t wait for when this is released.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holidays and to say thank you for all your support this year. The copy edit for Evertree is now complete and will hopefully be released in January next year and while I wait, I’m making headway with a couple of new projects, a sequel for Evertree and a separate project for the CoG competition
