I’m so sorry to here this. I didn’t know her personally, but I have interacted with her on the forum, and I looked up to her a lot. She was always incredibly supportive and always available to offer advice. My condolences to those who were close with her.

Eiwynn was, at least to me, one of the most integral, insightful, and kind individuals on this forum. I still remember her welcoming me so kindly to this forum. The love that she had for this forum and interactive fiction is genuinely a treasure for everyone here and moves me even more now that I know she’s been consistently putting in the effort to maintain the writers’ threads every single month and never once failing to offer support and guidance to everyone who needed it, despite being ill herself.
Even though I never really even spoke with her much, I will still miss her very much. Condolences to all her family and friends.

Oh god, that’s unexpected. It’s going to be weird having such a valuable presence on the forum gone. I had been looking forward to seeing her game be put up on the forum. My condolences to everyone whose heart she touched.

I still can’t believe I read that. Eywinn was always a very helpful person in my interactions with her in the Writer’s Support Thread, always encouraging amateur writers like me and veterans alike with articles, advice, and everything else at her disposal. She will be greatly missed by all of us on the forum. My condolences to her family and friends.

What awful news. Eiwynn was the most helpful person I had the pleasure of interacting with on these forums and she put so much into making the monthly writer support threads such a welcoming and helpful space. I’m so sorry to her friends and loved ones, it is a terrible loss.

Eiwynn has been an integral part of the Cog community, I am saddened to hear about her sudden passing. She was and still one of first person’s that ever comes to mind when I think about this forum, may her family and friend find solace. Rest in peace Eiwynn, you will be dearly missed.

This is just a thought I had after being meandering all day long about this. I’m not by far the one who should take charge of it and I don’t even know how and if this is possible to take to fruition, so to whoever should be the one/ones that can handle and decide about this:
I’ve heard she was working on a project, however unfinished. I had the idea that it could be published. Wrapping it out somehow, or leaving it pure and open, and releasing it to commemorate her work and memory and raise funds for her family or whoever corresponds.
I don’t know how, what it would take, if any of her close ones would like to, or if COG would be willing to, but I just wanted to drop the idea here. Though maybe someone already thought about it. Good idea, bad idea, I don’t know, I’m not who decides.

I saw this and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I am so sorry to hear this.
I talked to Eiwynn privately quite a few times, and thought she was a great person. She was always kind and supportive (even when donning her mod hat!). She was also a very good writer, and what I saw of Patcherwerks, I loved.
She will be greatly missed, and the lack of her presence leaves a hole in this community that can never be filled by anyone else. All of my sympathies to her spouse and family.

This is heartbreaking, I’m at a loss for words. What I can say, though, is that I’ll never forget Eiwynn, her presence was a fixture in the forums for years and years, so many published games have had the privilege of hearing her thoughts on them. Sending my love to her loved ones. She’ll always be a part of this history
