Absolutely awful news. Eiwynn has been a pillar of the community as long as I’ve been in it, without the work she did supporting the people here I don’t know if I and so many others would have ever ended up writing anything without her and the work and energy she put in. Heartbreaking to hear.

I will remember my years of discussion with Eiwynn fondly probably more so that we often disagreed. I’m sad that we won’t ever get that chance again.

I haven’t been present much on these forums the past few years, but Eiwynn was one of the best people I ever met here. She made this community better and I’m glad to see she had many friends.
She was my friend too, it hasn’t sunk in fully yet.

Eiwynn was an indispensable member of this community, always thoughtful and well-informed, always going the extra mile to be supportive of the rest of us. From beginner to seasoned author, I don’t think there’s anyone on the forums who didn’t benefit from her efforts. We’ll all be poorer for her loss.

This is heartbreaking to hear. Eiwynn was nothing but kind and supportive, even messaging me once privately to make sure I was okay, despite us not knowing each other well. She died on Thursday, in her home. We don’t know any details beyond that.

@Lys This may be an insensitive ask, but do you know if her family needs or wants any help with funeral expenses and the like? She was such a presence here, it feels wrong to not give anything back. I know I’m not the only one in the community who’d be willing to chip in for something like that.
