Dragon Trinity Crash Adventure Book

Hello,

I’ve new to CoG. So far I like what I see. I’ve played Heroes Rise and the first Way Walkers.

Just wanted to share a bit of interactive fiction I’ve written. Dragon Trinity Crash: Call of Cakethulu. It’s a very short freebie novel that’s based in a fantasy comedy world. You can find it here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B40pqGNDUEszcWhsX25PcDZjSTQ&authuser=0

I’m working on the 2nd book now, once I’m done that I’ll be sorely tempted to try my hand at writing my next book, DTC or no, in ChoiceScript.

Till then though I’ll simply keep working what I’m working on and play around with the next Heroes or Wayfinder’s book.

Regards,
Chall

Hey! Welcome to the forums!

Thank you very much.

Glad to be here.

Welcome to the forum!

Have you considered just adapting this one into choicescript? It doesn’t look like it’d be too hard to do. That way you can see if you like how one of your games does in choicescript without too much investment?

Huh. Not a bad idea at all.

Welcome to the forums, @theChall!

For me, it sounds like a very good idea, if you want to learn writing games in choicescrip I strongly recommend you to convert DTC in a choicescript game, as @FairyGodfeather suggested. It would fit choice script perfectly.

I liked your story and the MC, Djana, although I found the book a bit short compared to most choice of games and hosted games. Therefore I’d love to see a sequel.

Thanks @WulfyK

I’ll give a DTC choicescript a go after I finish writing the 2nd book (nearly done the first draft of it).

They’re definitely way short but that’s because they’re exercises for me to get more comfortable writing interactive fiction. After I write one more short book I’ll actually go for gusto and write something to sell separately or post as a hosted game. I’d aim for around 60’000 words for such a project.

When it happens it may be DTC, or it may not. Either way I’m strongly tempted to make it a hosted game.
